NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencils Swatches & Review
NYX has some really cool jumbo eyeshadow pencils, and since they were on sale at an Ulta I was near, I picked a few up. All of these are from their regular line.
What I love about these babies are how smooth they apply. They have a very creamy texture and dry to a powder-like finish. They don’t pull on my eyelid at all, and are very saturated in color.

Purple is a dark shimmery purple. Milk is a bright stark white. Pacific is a shimmery medium blue. Cottage Cheese is a silvery white. French Fries is a copper/brown with gorgeous shimmer.
I have used these and some other of their other colors both alone and as a base for other eyshadows. The one thing to keep in mind is these do get a little crease-y, even with an eyeshadow base. The key is to just use a very small amount, and make sure you spread it out thin and even.
The price is totally right also at $4.00 each!

I use these! I love them! I use the white as a base when I wear colorful eyeshadow. They don’t crease on me, but like you said, the key is not to pile it on! I’m glad you did swatches of the purple…now I definitely have to get it!

I bought French Fries and totally forgot about it. I’ll have to pull it out for tomorrow. At my Ulta people open these and test them so it’s hard to buy them there.

I love NYX. Their single eye shadows are the best. Their jumbo eye shadow pencils are okay, but yeah, you’re right. You really have to put on a thin layer or they’ll crease.

I love wearing these pencils as a base. I own milk and french fries. I also own black bean which is a great base to put under shadows … makes the color really pop!
I’ve heard these things are pretty cool. I like Milk a lot, nice and simple white and Purple is nice, as well. I think I’d really like one of these- I’ve never been to Ulta, but I may have to go check it out!
