China Glaze Fight Like A Woman Collection Swatches & Review

Believe it or not, October is fast approaching. October is not just for Halloween, but also is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

China Glaze has a new collection called Fight Like A Woman that was created to bring awareness about breast cancer. They will give a portion of proceeds to the International Agency for Research on Cancer.

You may or not may know this, but I hear about breast cancer every single day when I’m at work. I work for a Biotechnology company that makes a widely used breast cancer drug, so it’s definitely not a topic I only think about one month a year. But I do think it’s great when companies try to help out in any way they can by raising awareness.

The formula on these was really totally fabulous, not a problem to report.

China Glaze Encouragement China Glaze Fight Like A Woman Collection Swatches & Review
Encouragement

Encouragement is a light baby pink with silver shimmer. How can I put this…I LOVE THIS COLOR! Really. I saw the 3 pinks, and I knew they would be pink because that’s the color of breast cancer awareness, and I didn’t expect to totally love any of them. But I do. This reminds me of the dress the good witch Glinda wore in The Wizard Of Oz, all sparkly and pretty. icon smile China Glaze Fight Like A Woman Collection Swatches & Review This was on the more sheer side, but I used three coats and I think it looks great.

China Glaze Empowerment China Glaze Fight Like A Woman Collection Swatches & Review
Empowerment

Empowerment is a cotton candy pink creme. This is another one I really like and think flatters my skin tone a lot. It borders on being a Pepto pink, but not as dark and it’s not pastel or chalky at all. This was two coats.

China Glaze Endurance China Glaze Fight Like A Woman Collection Swatches & Review
Endurance

Endurance is a raspberry pink with lots of pink shimmer. Hawt! For some reason I was expecting that this would be sheer, but I put three coats on and it’s perfectly opaque. A great summer color also I think!

This collection will be available at beauty supply stores and some salons in September.

Whaddya think?

  • Love these! I wasn’t expecting to like them, either as I’m not usually a pink polish person, but I think they’re lovely. I’ll be buying them all for that reason and to do a small part in supporting breast cancer research. Thanks for the swatches.

BTW, I’m loving the new format. Took me a day or so to get used to it, but once I did – wowza it’s awesome!

I love that these pinks are unique. Yay for China Glaze for not feeling boxed in to a certain type of pink, but celebrating the best of the color during Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

I LOVE these pinks, and I am so glad to finally see them swatched! Encouragement and Endurance are my favs and I can’t wait to get my mitts on them! Do you know when they will be available, and if they are only available as a set or will they be available individually?

I like them all! Encouragement is my fave too. Somehow it seems unique, even though it’s pink. And Endurance reminds me of Wing It (which I’m wearing right now)

Great pinks, luckily they don’t feel like boring standards!

Like someone said, Endurance reminds me of Wing It! And also like.. a pinker Raspberry Festival..?

What a great name for a collection…really makes a statement. I think I might have to get these just to support this cause! I do have a zillion light pinks from Essie, but what’s a few more?! The glitter is AMAZING!

  • What cancer drug does your company make? I thought these would be the usual boring pinks, but these are great! I love ChG, they’re definitely my favorite brand.

HOLY CRAP LOL Those are gorgeous pinks! I come from a long line of breast cancer genes with only 2 survivors so this is a cause very near & dear to me. These colors are just lovely. I will definately have to pick up a few sets for stocking stuffers :)

    Hi VV,

China Glaze “saved” me from my nail biting (hehe), and their colors are so beautiful, but this just made me cry. I had a breast tumor removed three weeks ago and am still healing… what timing to see CG come out with these! Thanks for posting the swatches. I’ve been reading for several months, I just haven’t ever replied to anything before.

    • Hi Mandy,

It’s for a great cause, for sure. So sorry to hear you had surgery, I hope everything is ok and you heal quickly.

      July 25, 2010
  • Surprised how much I like all these! Woo, pretty
