China Glaze Awakening Collection Halloween 2010 Swatches & Review
My favorite holiday is fast approaching!
I have always been the biggest Halloween fan ever. I am all about scary, dark, creepy, morbid things, despite the sunny blond hair.
Enter China Glaze’s Halloween collection for 2010 called Awakenings. This is a limited edition collection so try and get your hands on it while you can!
Zombie Zest
Zombie Zest is a moss green with green micro-glitter. This color is amazing and greeeeennnnnnnn! I love it because it’s kind of a yellow/green and I don’t have any like it. Of the three, this applied the easiest with least problems. It was on the thinner side so I used three coats for opacity. It’s my fav 
Mummy May I
Mummy May I is a dark purple with pink glitter. The glitter here is chunkier as opposed to Zombie Zest’s. This one is definitely a lot thicker and a little hard to apply also. It tends to want to get “gloopy” at the tip, so watch how much you have on the brush, and let it dry in-between coats for a few minutes. Still it’s a very cool color! This was two coats.
Ick-A-Bod-Y
Ick-A-Bod-Y is a very dark green base (almost black basically) CHOCK-FULL of orange glitter. When I say chock-full I mean you can’t hardly even see the base color at all, it’s like pure glitter. Yes it makes it more difficult to apply for sure. So again apply the same way as I mentioned above with Mummy May I. This is such a cool Halloween polish, I will be sporting this come October with glee! This was three coats.
This 4-piece collection (it also comes with their Fast Forward Top Coat) collection is limited edition, and will only be sold at specialty nail supply stores, and online.

P.S. Besides my daughter’s B-day Halloween is my fave holiday too!! THe best! Right before my birthday, no presents to buy, fun decorations to make, etc.
Of course my favorite would be the one that had the most difficult application! I love pinks/reds/purples over greens/blues. It also seems like a color I’m more likely to wear outside the holiday. I’m still looking for China Glaze Vintage Vixen…cant seem to find it.

Ahhhh I love these!!! We love Halloween with a passion in my house.
Even though I really don’t like orange (nor does it like me) I think Ick-A-Bod Y is my fav!! I cannot WAIT for these, woohoo!

Love, love, LOVE! I don’t have Optical Illusion and have been wanting it so it’ll be nice to have this collection. I wonder how Ick-A-Bod-Y compares to the Lippmann Collection’s Superstar (the glitter is probably bigger in Superstar). I’ll have to do a comparison swatch when I can finally buy this set.
