Sally Hansen Salon Nail Polish Summer 2010 Swatches & Review

Hump day!

After today we are more than halfway through the week, yay! Actually I am off work the rest of this week because of A. Carpet installation Thursday (aka Hell Day) and B. My bday Friday (aka Fun Day). icon smile Sally Hansen Salon Nail Polish Summer 2010 Swatches & Review

Aaaaaannnnnyyywaaaayyyy, I have some colors I think 99.9% of earth has already seen at this point, but hey, I have ‘em, why not show ‘em?

These are some new (ish) Sally Hansen’s from the Salon Manicure line. I believe these are classified as a summer collection. Either way I’M classifying them that way because they came out in time for summer.

Without further adieu, here goes.

Sally Hansen Silver Lining Sally Hansen Salon Nail Polish Summer 2010 Swatches & Review
Silver Lining

Silver Lining is a light silver with multi-colored shimmer. I dunno, my socks weren’t knocked off here. It was a little too sheer and didn’t wow me as much on the nail as it did in the bottle. This was three coats.

Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure Sally Hansen Salon Nail Polish Summer 2010 Swatches & Review
Hidden Treasure

Hidden Treasure is a clear base with holographic flake glitter. You have seen this a zillion times on a zillion websites and here it is for the zillionth and one time. It’s obviously a color you have to layer otherwise it’s a wee bit boring. This was 3 coats for maximum flake-ocity. icon smile Sally Hansen Salon Nail Polish Summer 2010 Swatches & Review

Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure and Midnight In NY Sally Hansen Salon Nail Polish Summer 2010 Swatches & Review
Midnight in NY with Hidden Treasure

Here we have Midnight in NY with Hidden Treasure over it. And you’ve seen this a zillion times as well, I’m sure. It is pretty damn stunning though; I love it. This is two coats Midnight In NY and two coats Hidden Treasure.

Sally Hansen Midnight In NY Sally Hansen Salon Nail Polish Summer 2010 Swatches & Review
Midnight In NY

Midnight In NY is a black with multi-colored micro-glitter. This is really nice, I like the jet black-ness of it and the colored glitter. I do kind of wish there was a little more of the glitter and it was better dispersed. It’s kind of sparse. This was only two coats though, so bonus!

How ya feelin’ these ones?

We haven’t got HT here yet, so the swatches are killing me! :) Seriously, I have been stalking Shoppers for weeks now, and they are so behind on everything…it took two months after the release of the L’Oreal Essie dupes in the US for us to get them here. Gah!

Anyway, have a wonderful birthday, Kelly! You deserve it!

I like to put Silver Lining or Hidden Treasure on top of an existing manicure to make it look a bit different when I only have 5 minutes to spare. Happy Birthday!

I love Midnight in NY with the Hidden Treasure layered over it, it reminds me of China Glaze Fortune Teller.
Have a VERY Happy Birthday, my fellow June birthday girl (mine is the 21st)! I hope you have a great day and love your new carpet once it is installed.

Joining the chorus wishing you Happy Birthday! You do an awesome job with your blog, and I hope you have a great day! With the exception of Hidden Treasure, these remind me of other polishes I have. Still the HT looks so cool over the black. Great for Halloween!

  • I was able to find Hidden Treasure and I love it. I have only used it layered on. Maybe this weekend I will try it on its own.

Your birthday day is Friday? Mine is Thursday! Happy Birthday to us! =)

I’m wearing Hidden Treasure over China Glaze Up All Night and mine seems to have more flakies than yours. My one coat of Hidden Treasure appears to be more than 2 coats on your pictures. Maybe my coats are really thick.

    June 16, 2010
  • I really like the first glittery nail varnish! i’d imagine it would look great over the top of a bright or dark colour too.

    Have a great birthday!

Ooooh, Hidden Treasures is soooo gorgey!!! Reminds me of an Nfu.Oh polish I love but don’t want to fork over the money to ship ;) And I KNOW that I’ll actually be able to find this one!

I bought quite a few of these polishes from this collection, then returned them to get my money back! The sheerness was crazy on my nails. I kept HT. Happy birthday girl :) :)

I just bought all three of those…I really like them…..I am excited to use Hidden Treasure

  • I don’t think I’ve seen any of these yet even though I visit several beauty blogs every day! I really like the Midnight in NY one and will definitely be looking for it in the stores. And I like Hidden Treasure, and the first one, but I already have a nail polish that looks almost like that.

Happy Birthday! You do know the rule is you have a birthday month, right?

    June 18, 2010
  • happy birthday kelly!!! i must admit that the hype over hidden treasure has puzzled me…mostly bc it isn’t original and is about 5 years late to the clear flake polish land. i guess most people weren’t familiar with it or something.

either way, these all are a miss for me!

To Ashley A.: I’ve found Midnight in NY at Shopper’s Drug Mart, Paragon Drugs, and Wal-Mart, but still haven’t been able to find Hidden Treasure anywhere!! Marisol (or Kelly), where did you get yours?!? I want it sooooo badly, and have even checked Amazon (.ca, as sadly .com won’t deliver to me in Canada) and eBay, but neither have it right now.

  • I really like Midnight In NY, so vampy and classy, but not boring! I agree on the more glitter part though, but very pretty nonetheless!
