Duri Paparazzi Collection Spring 2010 Swatches & Review

Yay aren’t you glad I am finally posting some new nail swatches? 
Thanks again for sticking around while I took some time off!
Today I’ve got the second half of Duri’s Paparazzi collection, this time for spring (the other part of this Paparazzi collection was for summer).
These colors are bright, vivid and very “spring-ish”, though I didn’t like them quite as much as the summer collection.
These are (almost) all what I would classify as shimmery metallics and the application was pretty great. I believe most were just two coats. A couple had very minor streaking, but not that bad.
Drama Queen
Drama Queen is a pale, lemon yellow color with gold shimmer.Yay another yellow that looks good on me whoo hoo! For a yellow this applied surprisingly well, only very slight streaking, and I think that was more due to the metallic finish rather than the color. This was two coats.
Addicted To Fame
Addicted To Fame is a bright orange/gold with yellow shimmer. Uh yeah, I like the concept of this color and loved it in the bottle, but this kind of orange and me don’t play nicely. It would look amazing on darker skin tones though. This was two coats and applied perfectly.
Oscar Party
Oscar Party is a grass green with yellow shimmer. Hmm I was a little disappointed in this one. I wanted the green to be a little darker and slightly more saturated. I like it, but I don’t love it. This was two coats.
I Don’t Kiss And Tell
I Don’t Kiss And Tell is a deep orange with yellow shimmer. Now this is an orange I can wear and really like. I think this is my favorite one of this collection, and I’m not a huge orange fan. This applied particularly well and was two coats.
Fashion Police
Fashion Police is a shimmery cornflower blue. This was the only one without a metallic finish. I like it, but again like Oscar Party, I wanted this to be deeper and more saturated. This was three coats as it was more sheer than all the others, and you can still see VNL.
Limo Ride
Limo Ride is a copper/burnt orange with silver shimmer. This one had minor streaking issues, but nothing huge. I like it, but don’t love it on me. This was two coats.
Overall I think this is a pretty good spring collection and pretty color appropriate also. The formula of Duri polishes are almost always really great and the cost isn’t too steep either at $5.00 each. They are having a special right now if you buy 3 colors you get the 4th one free. Surprisingly I Don’t Kiss and Tell is my favourite. I currently don’t own an orange polish…I don’t usually like warm colours but I’m wanting to branch out a bit. The other colours look good but they aren’t opaque enough for me. Oscar Party and Fashion Police would be great if they were more opaque.

Yeah it is the most saturated the these ones. I agree, I really wish the others were more opaque
I think I could wear I Don’t Kiss and Tell and I’d definitely purchase Drama Queen just for the name – lol! Of course, I like yellow too.

Yeah I’m not sure how I feel about these colors…. they’re just kind of..meh for me! Not in love with this collection overall though, like you, I prefer the summer collection!

Yeah the summer collex had some really interesting non-summery colors, which I think I prefer. I guess I like to be shaken up sometimes
I love this collection!!!
I’m shocked to say that the green is my least favourite, and green is my favourite colour. I Don’t Kiss And Tell is my favourite.

Yeah I feel the same way, usually I like the greens and blues the best in collections but these were just not good enough for me!!

I love all of them, but especially the Fasion police. I never heard of this brand before.

Yey! Your beautiful nails are back! I think the pale yellow is my favorite of this collection. I do like them all, actually, but the yellow is the most unusual & pretty to me.

Hey Kelly! I just tried to buy some of these, but it is not saying anything about buy 3 and get one free. So I called, and the lady had no idea. She said they used to have that, but doesn’t *think* it’s in effect anymore.

So glad to have you back… As a rule, I prefer cremes to sparkly, shimmery, metallic-y polishes, but I am drawn to Limo Ride.

WHOA!! What a gorgeous collection! It’s probably one of those few that I would go for all the colors and would love them. I LOVE the green, even though I’m not usually a fan of green polish (unlike so many people in the nail-polish community).
