Rococo Nail Apparel Swatches & Review

Morning! It’s Friday, who’s feelin’ it?

I finally have my Rococo Nail Apparel swatches ready for ya’ll! I know I am a total tease by posting the box pics awhile ago, then not showing the swatches until now. So sue me. icon smile Rococo Nail Apparel Swatches & Review

Still you gotta admit, you’ve never seen nail polish come in such a pretty package, have you? And the color combo is one of my favs too.

Ok so I read about this company quite awhile ago in a magazine because of their polish called Gold Leaf Lacquer, which has actual 24K gold leaf inside it! I thought about getting it, but passed because of the price which is about $30-35.

BUT recently I was at my Bloomingdales in San Francisco and I spotted a little Space.NK apothecary, which I hadn’t seen before. Lo and behold I saw Rococo bottles and I was so excited! After much debate on which colors to buy I settled for the ones that just totally grabbed me and I couldn’t stop looking at. Because they were on the pricey side (I think they were around $22.00) I only got two.

The formula on these was spectacular! The were smooth, even, not too thin not too thick and opaque in two coats. Just as you would hope from an expensive brand like this. Check them out!

Deborah Lippmann Spring 2010 Swatches & Review

Yes, it is Thursday which means Friday is right around the corner, whoo hoo!

Today I’ve got the two new colors from Deborah Lippmann for spring 2010. They may not be what you think of when you think spring. They aren’t totally bright or saturated, more subdued and dare I say, professional?

The formula was pretty good with these, as hers usually are. Excellent consistency and no problems. I have to say though I’m not totally gaga (no not Lady) over these though. Peep ‘em and see for yourself!

I’m Not Innocent

I’m Not Innocent is a pale nude/peach creme. This was very sheer and a wee bit streaky. I think it would look more saturated and even if you used a coat of white underneath. I’m not really a fan of sheers or nudes for that matter, so this didn’t suit me personally. It is a really good professional color though and would work for any conservative situation.

Weekly Poll

VV Poll Image 3 16 10 Weekly Poll

1. How has your week been so far? It’s been ok. Still getting used to not seeing Chase around the house and realizing just how quiet cats are compared to dogs.

2. Do you have seasonal allergies? Yes, but they haven’t yet started…

3. What’s on your nails for St. Patrick’s Day? BB Couture Poison Ivy

4. Have you seen the new line of Tokidoki and Tarina Tarantino makeup at Sephora? I pretty much want everything from both of these lines. Just the packaging on these alone makes me drooooollllllll.

5. What blow dryer do you use? Well I recently returned the Clarisonic I got from Sephora because it did absolutely nothing for me in the 2 months I tried it. I had to get store credit, so I exchanged it for a T3 Featherweight blow dryer. I heard great things about these and I have a flat iron I like from them. Well now it’s going back also! First of all the on/off switch is on the STUPIDEST part of the handle, right where your hand holds the damn thing so I am constantly turning it off and on by mistake. Second, it makes my fine, straight hair totally static-y. And third, it only dries my hair 2-3 minutes faster than my $40.00 Conair from Target. So yeah, totally not worth the money. I will be using that money for some of the aforementioned Tokidoki and Tarina T. makeup. icon smile Weekly Poll

6. Are you a fan of corned beef & cabbage? Yes as long as it’s not canned corned beef, which I find as repulsive as wet cat food.

7. What’s for lunch? I very rarely bring my lunch to work since we have nice cafeterias, so not sure yet. Hopefully something healthy-ish.

8. Do you have a favorite hand lotion? I am very partial to Bath & Body Works Blushing Cherry Blossom right now.

9. Are you related to anyone famous? I (think) I remember someone telling me we were distantly related to Franklin D. Roosevelt, the 32nd President, but maybe I dreamt that, lol!

10. What’s your favorite kitchen gadget? My silver Kitchen Aid mixer. I coveted one of these for like 15 years before I finally bought one a few years ago. My mother still has her original white one from over 40 years ago and it works perfectly!
