Estee Lauder’s new collection for summer 2010 is called Bronze Goddess. They have included two new nail colors in this collection, which I have for you today.

These are the first Estee Lauder nail polishes I have ever tried. I’m not sure why, I guess normally their color don’t appeal to me. However these ones were not to be missed…

I kind of loved the bottle shape, even though it does look retro. But it looks retro in a very 1950’s way. It’s like an ice cube with thick heavy glass surrounding the polish.

The formula on these was fantastic as one would hope after spending $22.00 on a bottle. Read on!

Wild Orchid

Wild Orchid is a fuchsia pink with a heavy blue shimmer flash to it. The bright pink with blue flash is pretty popular right now, and I can see why, it’s very pretty. Having said that though, this wasn’t my favorite one of them. This color was very sheer. I used three coats here and you can still see the VNL. Four would have been better, but I just can’t do it. So unless you like to pile it on or you like sheers, I would says this might not be your best bet.

Ultra Violet

Ultra Violet is a deep violet purple with heavy pink shimmer. It’s GORGEOUS, no lie. I originally tried to buy this a month ago, but it was sold out. I can see why. This doesn’t really say “summer” to me, but really, who cares? It was rich and opaque going on, and I only needed two coats. I am thinking this is another favorite purple of mine now! RUN to the store and get this one if you love purples people!

Overall I am pretty pleased with these. I’m not thrilled that Wild Orchid is so sheer, but it is doable. And I LOVE Ultra Violet, so I’m very happy I bought that one.

You can find these at Nordstrom or Bloomingdales or wherever they sell Estee Lauder and they retail for about $22.00 each.
