1. How has your week been so far? Kinda slow. I am having major spring fever, this rain is killing me! But the good thing is the Weather Channel says the sun should be out most of the rest of the week and weekend!
2. Have you ever been in a large natural disaster? Yes. I was 17 when the 1989 7.0 Loma Prieta earthquake struck the Bay Area and it scared the hell out of me! At the time I lived in an old house (built in 1908) on a hill, and the house shook A LOT from side to side, so my dad told me to get out! Luckily nothing that bad happened, though we had some huge cracks and he had to do some reinforcement.

4. If you could pick someone could play you in a big Hollywood movie, who would it be and why? I am going to pick Emily Blunt even though I don’t look anything like her. I love her! I think she’s a great actress, unique and quirky looking, and of course the accent doesn’t hurt.
5. When was the last time you watched a sunrise? I see them every now and then coming into work, but otherwise I am fast asleep at that hour!

Not really – a couple really big snow storms and we do get hurricanes from time to time that cause significant damage but nothing too crazy.

I get the same thing every year for Valentine’s Day: a small box of Russell Stover chocolates in a red foil heart shaped box. That’s what my parents gave us every year, and it’s tradition. My husband is very happy to oblige because they’re easy to find and cheap. The thing is, I don’t want fuss on Valentine’s Day because my birthday is about 2.5 weeks afterwards and THAT’S when I want the fuss, on my own personal special day.

All the major LA earthquakes, Northridge, Whittier, Sierra Madre, Sylmar… Sylmar was in the 70s and my parents said my brother and I slept through it. I live the closest to Sierra Madre but that one was a lot weaker than Northridge or Whittier. Whittier felt the worst for me.

Yes, too many to count. I lived through when Hurricane Andrew hit LA (we were the eye) and then lived through the after math of Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Gustave, and Ike most recently.

2. Have you ever been in a large natural disaster? *well we had a flood in our town and my sister’s husband had to use a rowboat to get to his house after a couple of days. They all slept here when it happened that night.

1. How has your week been so far? Been good. Only worked 2.5 days so I am pretty stocked about that. I also have a 4 day weekend coming up. Woot woot!

No, I count myself very lucky for this. The closest I’ve been would be the Mt Ruapehu (NZ) eruptions of 1995, but it was just a lot of smoke and ash – nothing too dramatic

Phew, too long ago, but it was great. I was on a ride-along with my truck driving boyfriend (now fiance) and we got to see the sunset on the Saturday night and then rise again on the Sunday morning due to his incredibly long hours!
