Vampy Varnish Fav’s Featuring: Purple
Good afternoon!
I thought it might be good to get back to my “Top 5″ posts that I started in December. I have already covered red, green, gold and silver. However when it came to purples, I had a VERY HARD time narrowing it down to just 5! There was just no way I could do it. I did it with greens only because I am going to do a whole separate “olive green” post. So this wound up being a top 10 list, which might happen with some other colors coming up also. 
This isn’t going to be a full review, I have already reviewed all these in the past.
So without further ado, here are my top 10 favorite purples in no specific order.
NARS Purple Rain
I mean this is obvious why it’s on here, isn’t it?
Rescue Beauty Lounge Scrangie
This color is just beyond! When I wore it for the first time I was CONSTANTLY staring at my hands.
Illamasqua Baptiste
Another gorgeous deep “glowy” purple.
Sally Hansen Purple Pizzazz
SO awesome, especially for a drug store find!
Dior Silver Purple
Ok so this might not look technically “purple” but it’s not really silver either. It’s a cross between the two and very unique, so I had to include it.
Rimmel Violet Metal
This also is a new drug store find and I really love it.
Nfu-Oh 117
Glorious color, horrible old picture. Some day I need to re-swatch all these Nfu-Oh’s I have!
LA Girl Groupie
This borders on being a blurple (I will have a blurple top 5 category) but I wanted to include it on here.
Zoya Yasmeen
An oldie but a goodie and another horrible old picture, but you get the idea of the color!
Milani Enchantment
This was from their Halloween collection of glitters and it’s basically a black but packed with purple glitter, so I included it.

You made me order Nars “Purple Rain”. No joke. I haven’t received it yet, though.
I haven’t found the perfect purple creme yet. Maybe will “Grape Pop” be that one?
I have lots of untested purple in my stash so it’s hard to tell but one of my favorite is curiously very cheap, it’s elf “Royal Purple”. They have a bunch of very too classical color but that one stand out.

Oh I think you “nail”ed it with these! The milani is the only one that seems out of place because on my screen it looks blue

I love these! My two fave purples are China Glaze Grape Juice and Finger Paints Icy Iris, but I just got Zoya Pinta that I’m trying tonight. I also like Sinful Fiji.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE NARS Purple Rain. I put in on Sunday night and I am still wearing it. So many compliments this week from friends and co-workers I can’t believe it. The wear is great, I have only two tiny chips so far.
My other favorite purple would be OPI Merry Midnight. As for the rest, I am not at home to look at my stash
but there are definitely a few more. I love purples and lavendars too. My favorite lavendar is (discontinued) Hard Candy Violet one of their original pastels.

I can’t beleive that I have the top three purples, NARS Purple Rain, (my favorite purple), RBL Scrangle and ILL…Baptiste. I love them all , especially Purple Rain, I don’t think you will find a more dazzling purple than purple rain, I am so happy I have these and mostly because you recommended by showing the swatches of your amazing painted nails, and said about purple rain, “I want it.” and so did I and I ordered it on-line, LOL

Most DEFINITELY OPI Ink! <3 it's so amazing, and my favorite deep purple….my favorite pale purple is the oldie but goodie "Baby Cakes" by Essie. Might also be b/c my bf calls me that, lol
I have one purple on top of all others (and there is a biiig gap to the next one), and that is Scrangie. It so incredible beautiful, I’m just sorry I didn’t buy a back up of this. Nfu-Oh 117 is closing in. And on a third place, it has to be Illamasquas Velocity.

Purple Pizzazz looks like Milani Totally Cool, gorgeous. I really wish I could get Nars Purple Rain, that is a huge lemming for me that I’ll probably never have.

I guess that goes to show that I prefer shimmers over cremes, hahaha! There are some really nice purple cremes for sure, but none of them beat out these for me personally.
Awesome post! I love Sinful Colors’ Daddy’s Girl, a pretty purple jelly that looks a lot like Purple Pizzazz. I have Milani’s Totally Cool, and it’s…totally cool! Another of my favorite purple’s is Flying Dragon from China Glaze.
I have NARS Purple Rain, Sally Hansen’s Purple Pizzazz, and Rimmel’s Violet Metal. Right now I am wearing OPI’s “Purple With A Passion.” It is so gorgeous. My husband did a double-take when he saw my nails last night…something like, “Wow, that’s hot!” Just got Essie’s “Sexy Divide” but I haven’t tried it on yet. Does anyone have Nubar’s “Pasadena Purple?” That’s supposed to be a stunner.
For creme purples, I suggest OPI’s “Lincoln Park After Dark.” A classic.
I also love OPI’s creme “Pamplona Purple” but I suppose that is more of a plum as opposed to a purple. Can you tell I’m an OPI girl??
I think you could actually separate: purple, plum, lavender.
Okay, I think I’ve given polish enough thought for today!
Now i want all of these! purple is my favorite color of polish, and i feel like a lot of these colors are so unique that i h ave nothing like them

Great post! I’m wondering how the Dior compares to my new charcoal HG, NYC New York Minute in Chinatown. It has the most gorgeous warm, shimmery silver gray, with a purple cast to it. If they’re dupes it’s definitely worth pointing out since the NYC is less than 2$!

Wow, purple rain is so vivid. Another one for the wishlist! I am wearing Yasmeen today and it looks much darker on me than the photo. It does look brighter in sunlight. Very pretty shade.
