Vampy Varnish Fav’s Featuring: Grey
Happy Saturday!
Today I’ve got my top 5 favorite grey polishes for you. This could have been a top 10 category, but I managed to whittle it down to 5 fairly easily.
Without further ado, here they are in no particular order.
American Apparel Factory Gray
Factory Grey is really a fabulous grey. It’s got this almost purple/blue undertone to it, which makes it unique to other grey’s out there.
BB Couture Widow Maker
Widow Maker isn’t a typical grey. In fact it’s kind of a taupe/grey. But it does remind me of concrete especially because it’s got these small black glitter flecks in it. So this had to make my list!
Sally Hansen Wet Cement
Wet Cement is a great new addition to my grey collection. It really does look just like wet cement!
Diamond Cosmetics Concrete Jungle
Concrete Jungle is another fabulous new addition to my collection. I love this color! It’s light with blue undertones and super flattering on my skin.
Rescue Beauty Lounge Stormy
Stormy is a nice dark primer grey. This was one of my first grey polishes. I still love it and don’t’ have a dupe for it.

I have a new favorite grey – since yesterday, when I bought Mavala Minsk, and it is to die for. Dark grey, gorgeous creme. But I am in Paris, the sun was shining all day, so of course it looked beautiful!
What’s funny is that I have 4 of the 5 that you posted but have only used Stormy. I topped it off with SH shooting star for a pedicure and it wore like iron.
I’m very intrigued by the nubar fortress collection that’s coming up with all the grays.
I am not a huge fan of the gray. But I have Zoya Harley which I am actually wearing now and it’s a pretty gray shimmer with a hint of lavender, maybe because the shimmer is silver and pink. So, since it’s my only…it’ll be my favorite. Now I’m going to add some konad to it!

I actually have two of those grays — Wet Cement and Concrete Jungle, and I absolutely *love* them. Sally Hansen’s Complete Salon Manicure Gray by Gray is another favorite of mine. I think I’ll get Factory Gray and Widow Maker when I get the chance, but I balk at spending $18 for a bottle of Rescue Beauty Lounge (even though I think the color is lovely).

Wet Cement is awesome! I love gunmetal greys, but the lighter greys are calling my name for spring

I hope American Apparel get their issues sorted out because I’d really like Factory.
Grey really works for you, VV! I don’t own any of the ones you’ve shown, but I would like to get the American Apparel “Factory Gray.” I do like $OPI’s “Run With It” for a subtle/metallic grey. I find I don’t actually wear grey polish a lot b/c I wear a lot of grey & neutral clothing, so I like my nails to stand out against this!
I just picked up Sally Hansen’s Complete Salon Manicure in the color “Gray By Gray”. It looks fairly blue in the bottle, but worn on it’s a great stormy gray. I love it!

I LOVE Wet Cement too! And I do love China Glaze Recycle, as well as Orly Pixie Dust. Honestly, I haven’t met a grey I didn’t like.

I love when you do this! Swatch all your favorite colors on one page, they look super all posted at once. I love AA’s Factory Grey, Diamond’s Concrete, mainly because I have this and RBL’s Stormy. You really can compare different nail colors and see exactly what the other brands look like. Your nails always look gorgeous and gray suits your skin tone so beautifully, your nails are amazingly gorgeous.

Ma favourite grey ever is the VIP GREY by Astor Lacque Deluxe (with lycra)! Dark grey filled with very small glitters!
this post is giving me a HUGE lemming for the wet cement polish!
My favorite gray is Nails Inc. Berkeley Square – it’s super dark with slight blue undertones. I love it!
Medium grays unfortunately don’t work on my skin tone, but I think I want to try a very pale gray… maybe Citadel from Nubar’s upcoming Fortress collection.

Great post! The gallery shots are especially nice to compare all these greys. My favorite grey made this list, RBL’s Stormy.
Factory Grey is my all time favorite medium grey because of the purple undertones. But if I want to go lighter I love Nails Inc The Southbank. If you love SH Wet Cement, you will love The Southbank too! Love your post.

Those are fabulous, and I loooove greys. Some of mine would be Illamasqua DWS, Orly Mirror Mirror and Pixie Dust and China Glaze’s Recycle.
I don’t have any greys because they tend to make my hands look red. Any nice warmer toned greys?

I love the look of grey nail polish on other people, but there’s just something about it that doesn’t look good on me. The American Apparel one is my favourite from the bunch.

The only grey I have is China Glaze Recycle, I really do like it. I’m really liking your swatch of Factory Grey as well though

I LOVE grey polish, and I didn’t really think I would, but China Glaze Recycle won me over. I also love Zoya Harley, and that Diamond Cosmetics one is on my lemmings list.

I just recently got into Sally Hansen nail polish and I am in love with their Xtreme Wear line. My favorite gray from that line is called Gunmetal. You should check it out it is gorgeous!! && I definitely think I’m gonna need to buy wet cement soon. It is fab as well!!

OPI’s Brand New Skates is another favorite.
And I can’t wait for Nubar to drop their Fortress Collection. Chock full of grey goodness.

So are the American Apparel polishes back out? I remember there was a big brouhaha about the recall.
recently I got a super fabulous haul from my local dollar store, a whole bunch of Sally Hansen grays that I had never seen before, probably 5 or 6 kinds! I had to snag them all! they ranged from more putty gray to a nice blue-toned light gray. I had no clue they came out with a whole collection of grays! but why on earth they were at a dollar store is beyond me.
Oooooo I just love those! Especially the glittery one of course, ha. I been really into grey lately myself, at first I thought tha tthe picture was sort of null, but I am really digging it lately. Perty!
