I love old signs for some reason, they remind me of days gone by even though I wasn’t born yet!

Hey there world!

Off to a late start this morning, but all is well because I have Essie’s new collection for you called The Art of Spring.

So when I first saw promo pics of this I was rather unimpressed. The only one that caught my eye was Lilacism, I thought the rest looked like very boring colors. I am happy to say I actually really liked a few of them more than I thought I would.

The formula on these was all over the place. They went from sheer to thick and streaky to perfect like butter. More details below.

Pop Art Pink

Pop Art Pink is a very pale milky white pink. This was extremely sheer and I needed three coats. Also it’s a bit runny, so wait 3 minutes at least in between coats or it will get weird on you. I like this one actually, but feel I’ve seen it before from Essie.

Ok so I promised you a post about all the BB Couture green lacquers, so here it is.

I have twelve of their green colors and I think that’s all of them (except Tortuga Island). They are all truly different as you will see from the pics. I can’t think of another company that has done so many cool green polishes, and those who love green and haven’t tried their colors yet are seriously missing out! True green fanatics will love these! Disclaimer: You will notice that some of these were taken well over a year ago when I didn’t know WTF I was doing in terms of taking pics. Please forgive the horrificness of those old pictures, they know not what they look like. You will also notice my nails are all over the place in terms of length. I try to grow them a little longer from time to time, but then I cannot stand them and hack them off! Generally if they are more than 1/4″ past my fingertip, I cannot deal.

Good afternoon!

So when I was browsing Sephora’s website recently I came across a new eyeshadow palette by Kat Von D called Memento Mori, and I knew right away it needed to be mine. I love her palettes, I have all of them except True Love. Not only did the colors totally call to me, but you see, the colors in this palette are named after famous Day of the Dead skulls, and if you guys have been reading my blog for awhile, you know I love Day of the Dead stuff.

Memento Mori comes from a Latin phrase that means “remember that you will die”.

The first thing that drew me in was the packaging of course. All her other palettes are black, but this one really stands out with the white case and blue Day of the Dead artwork that of course, looks like an old school tattoo.
