China Glaze Poolside Collection Summer 2010 Swatches & Review

Good morning!

China Glaze has a great new collection for summer 2010 called Poolside. It’s made up of six new neon colors.

As you probably know, neons are very hard to capture correctly on camera and so these are actually a lot brighter than they appear here!

The formula on these was decent, not great. They were all three coats and I could have used four on one or two to get them slightly more even. Also you will notice that they have a matte finish, which is typical of neons before you add a top coat.

Let me know what you think!

Yellow Polka Dot Bikini

Yellow Polka Dot Bikini is a bright highlighter yellow. This is SO much brighter than this picture depicts, it’s really blinding in the sun! This is one that I could have used another coat on, but I already did three. You can still faintly see the VNL here.

The Dr. Is In the House

The Dr. Is In The Dr. Is In the House

Ok I have been harping about how much I love the new throwback Dr. Pepper so I took a pic of it in the truck yesterday. It’s blurry, but I needed a new pic for my Poppycock category so this is it for now. icon smile The Dr. Is In the House

Creepy Tree Close to Home

Creepy Tree1 Creepy Tree Close to Home

I have been wanting to take a picture of this tree for years. It’s very close to my house but I never had a good opportunity until yesterday. The sun was setting so the tree was in shadow but there was just enough light to get it. Pretty cool!

Old Fence

Old Gate Old Fence

Yesterday we went to a place called Black Diamond Mine which is in Antioch, CA. It’s an old coal mine from the 1860′s, and still has a very old cemetery and deserted buildings on the property. Very cool, it’s like an old ghost town. This is a pic of one of the old fences in the cemetery. I love old fences and macro shots, and I like how this one came out.
