What’s shakin’ party people?

Today I have a special treat for you, it’s Jessica Cosmetics new line for spring 2010 called Daydream. It’s made up of six very spring-like colors in various finishes.

The formula on these is pretty spectacular. In fact, almost every Jessica polish I have ever used has been a joy to apply (that sounds really lame, but I speak the truth!)  They are very buttery and smooth, and I never have issues with drag or bald spots. Some of these were on the sheer side, but that’s the way they were meant to be so no complaints here.

Flight Of Fancy

Flight Of Fancy is a pale cotton candy pink shimmer. I thought this was going to just be a pale pink sheer, so when I applied it the shimmer was a nice surprise. It’s nothing ground-breaking, but a nice color and would work well in a conservative setting. This was three coats.

1. How has your week been so far? Pretty good. I had Monday off because of President’s Day and then telecommuted on Tuesday. Now the week is already half over, whoo hoo!

2. Have you ever gone through an entire bottle of nail polish and bought a second of the same color? It’s incredibly rare, but it has happened. The only ones I can think of are Deborah Lippmann Bitches Brew, and back in the day, Revlon Vixen, which I don’t have anymore.

3. What’s on your nails? Color Club Uptown Girl and curiously, I liked it better on me in photos of it then I do to my naked eye!

4. What are you reading right now? The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown. I am kinda “meh” about it and am halfway through.

5. Do you do pedicures in the winter? Yes and no. I just did one Monday for the first time in 2 months.

6. Where do you paint your nails? Usually on the kitchen counter. We have a high bar area under a light so that’s where it’s normally done.

7. What’s the last thing you bought? A blue Gatorade.

8. Do you love it when we “spring forward” and it’s light out until 8:00-9:00 pm? YES!!!!! I would do anything to get rid of Daylight Savings and always have it light out later.

9. What is your favorite print or pattern (can be for clothing, furniture, or whatever)? Damask on anything and everything.

10. What are your two fav color combination’s? Tiffany blue and chocolate brown. Am also very partial to robin’s egg blue and red.

Yep, typical Sammy. He squeezes his “rubenesque” figure into this tiny corner by my computer. Then when I reach for my mouse, he rubs his face all over my hand rendering it impossible to use.

I’ll admit, I didn’t actually climb these stairs at Black Diamond Mine to see what was there because I was already tired from walking up a hill. And no it wasn’t a mountain-like hill, it was an ant-sized hill. This is how out of shape I am, but I digress. Anyway, N___. says there was an old mine shaft at the top.
