Orly Foil FX Collection for Spring 2010 Swatches & Review
Morning!
Orly has a new collection for spring 2010 out called Foil FX. This collection is three new colors, and I have two of them to show you.
Now these are not your average metallic colors, these look like you have wrapped your nails with colored foil strips. They are really awesome. In fact one of my favorite gold colors is butter LONDON’s The Full Monty, which is a great foil lacquer. These are similar to the effect that Minx gives.
The application is really excellent on these. There were absolutely NO streaks and you could almost get away with one coat each, but I used two for good luck. 
Shine
Shine is a silver foil that has yellow shimmer in it. This is really fabulous, probably now one of my favorite silvers!
Rage
Rage is a rose gold foil with multi-colored shimmer. I happen to have a thing for rose gold lately. I think it’s more interesting than just silver or gold and it always reminds me of melted copper. I want to pour it out and play with it!
The other color in this collection is called Luxe and it’s a gold foil.
This collection will be out in March and they will retail for around $7.50 each.

Orly has really stepped up their game with this collection and the Sweet collection. I used to hate them but these (even Luxe) are major lemmings for me.. Ive never had that before with an Orly polish. Ever.

I love Rage. I can’t wait until TD gets it. It must be mine. I got Luxe to try and while I like it, I think I would like Rage, much, much more.

WOW! These are gorge! I am obsessed with Minx at the moment but hate the idea of having to go to the salon every time, these would be a great alternative! I bet the gold is really pretty. I’ve never tried Orly, maybe this is the time!!

I love these!! Thanks for swatching VV! I also love rose gold and have a few pieces of rose gold jewelry. I love blingy metallic and chromes in general. Just wondering if there’s a red chrome polish out there? I don’t like red shimmers, but I would love a racy red chrome…if it exists…

Rage is good – not many ways I’d wear pink but I’d wear Rage. Silly name though for a sweet polish.

Thanks for sharing these with us! I luv them, I luv anything metallic-sparkle-bling-khrome. So I guess you will now have to make a “5 Favorite Rose gold” list. I recently placed an order for the BB Couture Blind Love and Dancing Queen and butter London Diamond Geezer and The Full Monty (yeah ouch $$$) and now wondering if I am going to regret it after seeing these???

I love these foil polishes! I hope I can find these at stores around me. I like the instant gratification of buying in stores rather than ordering online and having to wait! Thanks for these swatches!

Both are pretty but I’m lloving the Rage color. Although they don’t remind me of Minx at all just a fever good mixture of glitter, shimmer, and metallic polish. Have you ever tried an actual foil for your nails, it’s way cheaper than minx you can do it at home, just a special base coat, lay the foil ontop of your nails ( rub to transfer), and top coat.

I haven’t ever tried any kind of foil for my nails actually. I am scared of do it yourself nail things like that, haha!
