1. How has your week been going? Still having a rough time adjusting to working after the holidays, but it’s almost half over!
2. Do you color your hair? Long story short yes, and have been since I first poured Hydrogen Peroxide over it at age 13. I haven’t seen my natural hair color by itself in well over 20 years.
3. What’s on your nails? Actually nothing, I am giving them a short break.
4. What are your favorite TV shows? Disclaimer: I am a TV addict. I LOVE TV. Don’t get me wrong, I read a ton and do other things (blogging obviously), but I love me some TV, yes I do. In fact I just recently upgraded to AT&T U-Verse so I can record 4 shows at once and watch them on any TV. You would be shocked and appalled if I listed everything I watch, but my favorites right now are 30 Rock, Modern Family, Better Off Ted, Chuck, Bones, Law & Order, Law & Order SVU, Damages, Breaking Bad, Dexter, Mad Men, The Tudors and True Blood. I’ll stop now. 
5. Are there other cosmetics that you love as much as nail polish? Yes! I love eyeshadow, eyeliner, lipstick and lip gloss basically as much as polish. I am a makeup junkie in general, I do not discriminate!
6. Are you a fan of Nutella? I had heard about Nutella for years but for some reason never tried it. Finally after Karen of Makeup and Beauty Blog and Marisol from A Dirty Martini Kind Of Girl kept Twittering about it, I decided that needed to try it. OMG, it’s so freakin’ good I cannot fathom why I wasted all these years eating peanut butter and jelly instead of Nutella and marshmallow fluff sandwiches!
7. What’s your favorite base and top coat? I have harped on and on about this in the past (and swear I plan on doing a special post about it) but Nubar’s Foundation base coat and their Diamont top coat work the best on me. I love them. Zoya’s Color-Lock System is a close second, but I don’t find their top coat is as shiny as Nubar’s, and also it can get bubbles sometimes.
8. Do you love boots? How many pairs do you own? I love boots! I currently own 10 pairs of boots, all in various styles, heels heights and colors. If you count my (fake) Uggs (which I only wear around the house and not in public) and my galoshes, I have 16 pairs.
9. Would you rather spend a 2 week (all paid) vacation lounging on a beach in Fiji, walking the city streets of Japan, or rugged hiking in Australia? Fiji for sure. I am very much a tropical island vacationer. Don’t get me wrong, I love going to new cities (like London), but I did so much on that trip, that I was exhausted by the end and wanted another vacation sitting on a beach for a week doing nothing just to recover, lol!
10. What is your favorite physical thing about yourself? Hmmm. I am going with eye color. My eyes are a dark blue but they kind of change, depending on what I am wearing. If I wear black or grey, they tend to be more slate colored. If I wear blue, purple or green they look more blue.

3. What’s on your nails? OPI DS Extravagence – I had no idea how much I would love this when I bought it.

6. Are you a fan of Nutella? Yes! I had some last night on some Magic Pop Snack Cakes from Korea.
7. What’s your favorite base and top coat? Base: nearly anything by Barielle right now. Top Coat: Seche Vite with something else underneath. Right now I have Zoya Armor under my SV and it seems to be working really well. I refresh with “David” or Barielle’s Mani Extender.
8. Do you love boots? How many pairs do you own? I do love them, but I live in Texas where we only have 2 months of fall/winter and 10 where it’s just plain hot. I have 3 pairs.

1. How has your week been going? Crazy busy because we have an awards contest going on at work and there are 5 million questions. I am still waiting for a closing date/information on my house too, so the week will be exponentially better when that is settleed
2. Do you color your hair? I did not until I graduated from college and then did light blonde, brown and an auburn red for about 5 years. Now I am back to my natural color of dirty blonde. It is kind of boring but saves me some $$$.
3. What’s on your nails? a clear coat of polish right now, lame, I know.

I never did the blue or green hair but I did every shade of red and burgundy. Also once dyed the tips of my hair black (the rest was bleach blonde). That lasted about a week before I decided it looked stupid, lol!

1. How has your week been going? Okay so far, but still feeling wiped out after the holidays…seems like a common theme.
2. Do you color your hair? Yes, and I love to change the colour regularly. It is currently a dark reddish auburn.

4. What are your favorite TV shows? Dexter, Californication, House, and Being Erica (a Canadian show).

The Nutellaria had nutella “burgers” “pizza”, etc but it was like two donuts with nutella inside for a burger and some kind of crepey pastry with nutella spread on it as pizza. So delicious! By googling to make sure this place still exists, I just learned that Feb 5, 2010 is World Nutella Day!

Yes, luckily I live in Toronto, where we don’t get a lot of snow or very cold temperatures (0 C or 32 F is fairly typical most of December through March). However, as soon as we get even a little snow, there is salt all over the road, and slush everywhere, so waterproof boots are a must. I would love to wear suede boots, but I cringe at the thought of the salt all over them.
I think I want to retire to San Francisco….:)

Well maybe it’s because you are used to it, but anything between 0 and 32 sounds horrible to me, hahaha! Anything under 65 and I am freezing, I am such a wimp. Even SF is too cold for me, that’s why I prefer the East Bay, much warmer temps and not much fog.

6. Are you a fan of Nutella? I like it in crepes the best. I liked to buy Nutella and banana crepes for breakfast at little walk-up eateries when I went to Paris.
7. What’s your favorite base and top coat? Base-Barielle Camouflage. I also use Essie’s Ridge Filling Base Coat (good for the CG Khromes in my case) and RBL’s base coat) Top-Seche Vite
8. Do you love boots? How many pairs do you own? I love boots. I have a half dozen pairs. Half of them are cowboy boots, which has become my signature look. I’m not a fan of those flat low scrunchy boots that make girls look like elves. Not all boots are cool!

I started using Qtica Nail Growth Stimulator last month and it’s working out well. I’ve only used Poshe but it works for me.

I’m not the biggest fan of boots, or closed-toed shoes in general. I have a couple pairs of Uggs (the sleeker ones that zip up). I wish I could wear sandals/flipflops all year!

Yes, I was blond my whole life, then junior year of HS i went brunette for 3 years. then 2 years ago (soph. year of college) i went back blond and then after a really bad breakup i went dark brunette about 2 weeks ago. i’m sure i’ll be back to blond by summer or soon enough though.

FIJI! i'm a so cal girl so the beach is my life.. i'll take the beach over just about anything. especially a beach on a tropical island! sounds like my cup of (iced) tea.
10. What is your favorite physical thing about yourself? My eyes, its what i get the most compliments on.. they're light blue and i've been getting tooons of compliments on how they stand out now that my hair is dark brown instead of blond.

Just noticed… I didn’t watch TV since I came to Japan 3 months ago! Scrubs and Futurama are cool (Zoidberg FTW!) And I still watch some of the old kid’s shows I used to love when I was little.

Hair care products, chapsticks and any kind of purse-sized hand lotion that has a nice scent to it.

Nutella is great, but I’m totally addicted to peanut butter!

1. How has your week been going?
Blah. I don’t want school to start on Tuesday. I’ve ordered every textbook except one. I kinda like being on vacation.
2. Do you color your hair?
Used to…until my hairdresser whacked me over the head with her comb when I told her I did. I was on a lazy spree that year and two inches of my natural color showed and she was appalled that I colored what she thought was a beautiful hair color. I will admit, however, that the sun bleaches it a more reddish hue in summer (I have super dark chestnut brown hair naturally). It doesn’t bleach a more blonder shade like most people, it bleaches a more redder shade. It’s caused by my English-Scot ancestry.
3. What’s on your nails?
2 coats Dorothy Who? on tips; Louvre Me, Louvre Me Not on toes.
4. What are your favorite TV shows?
Oh God. My ALL TIME FAVORITE–the one where I would send nasty hate mail if it were ever canceled too soon, in my opinion–is House. I LOVE House. Others I watch on TV are Desperate Housewives, Grey’s Anatomy, Intervention, It’s Me or the Dog, Underdog to Wonderdog, Mythbusters….etc. I have to wait for the Tudors to come out on DVD as I don’t get premium channels. It’s horribly inaccurate (ex. Henry Fitzroy died at 17 from tuberculosis, not at age two from the sweating sickness) but horribly addicting. I’ve only seen the first season, sadly.
5. Are there other cosmetics that you love as much as nail polish?
Eye liner and eyeshadow. I’m a nut about them.
6. Are you a fan of Nutella?
I’ve been eating it out of the jar since I could chew, which means about 19 years. I was born in West Germany and lived there for nearly three years. We Europeans are nutty about Nutella. It took my mom years to find it in the states. I’m not sure I like having Nutella everywhere now. I liked it when it was kinda my secret. I love it on pancakes, toast, waffles, bread, sandwiches and out of the jar. My mom and I are Nutella geeks while my brother despises it.
7. What’s your favorite base and top coat?
OPI Natural Base Coat and either OPI Rapidry Top Coat or Borghese Presto! Top Coat. I’m allergic to the entire Seche Line, especially Seche Vite.
8. Do you love boots? How many pairs do you own?
Depends on the boot. I have two currently. You can’t not have boots here in the Midwest.
9. Would you rather spend a 2 week (all paid) vacation lounging on a beach in Fiji, touring the city streets of Japan, or rugged hiking in Australia?
Hiking in Australia. It’s much quieter than the beach or city streets of Japan (both would overstimulate me majorly). Now, if you said hiking in Japan, that’s what I’d pick. I love the forest.

Eye color. My mom loves them as they’re slate grey and amber brown at the same time.

2. Do you color your hair? If I color my hair, I ramp up the color I already have, which is a deep auburn that can look brown sometimes. (No, I’m not a redhead by choice, I’m a redhead naturally)

4. What are your favorite TV shows? Criminal Minds, Conspiracy Theory, Modern Family, The Middle. Anything on the Discovery Channel or the History Channel.
5. Are there other cosmetics that you love as much as nail polish? I love me a great lipstick — moisturizing lipsticks, long-wearing lipsticks, and super-pigmented lipsticks are my favorites.
6. Are you a fan of Nutella? I’ve seen the commercials for it, but never tried it. So I can’t really say I’m a fan until I do — which I’m putting on my bucket list.
7. What’s your favorite base and top coat? Base coat? I don’t use much base coat. Top coat is my Seche Vite, although I’m seriously considering getting Out The Door or Poshe.

10. What is your favorite physical thing about yourself? I might be weird for saying this, but my favorite physical thing about myself is my nails. I used to bite them quite a bit for the majority of my life, until I decided to quit smoking. I can’t believe how far they’ve come in just 7 months.

1. How has your week been going? Just got back from a family thing out of town, so I’m still unpacking and rearranging and catching up.
2. Do you color your hair? Right now, yes. I didn’t before and I may not in the future. But I’ve found someone who does great color and who listens and I’m having fun with it, so why not?

5. Are there other cosmetics that you love as much as nail polish? Love, no. Use, yes. I don’t have quite the breadth of color in my other cosmetics as I do in my nail polishes – I tend to find a couple of colors I like and which look good on me and stick to them.
6. Are you a fan of Nutella? Sort of. For adulterated chocolate, it’s pretty good, but I’d almost always rather have my chocolate straight up.
7. What’s your favorite base and top coat? I’m actually looking foward to reading all these answers because I’m looking for new ones. I’m currently using up the last of my Revlon Top Speed Base Coat and Top Coat and I love them to pieces but as far as I can tell they are not made anymore. So I’m open to suggestion.
8. Do you love boots? How many pairs do you own? I have a love/hate affair with boots. I love ankle boots and have one pair that I call my “bitch boots” because I feel like I could take on the world in them. I have several pairs of snow boots. I would love to love knee boots but they hate me because I have very wide calves. So if I can even find a pair that will zip up over my calf they look all wrong on me because they are just not made to work with the shape of my leg. Fortunately there are so many wonderful ankle boots I don’t miss them at all.
9. Would you rather spend a 2 week (all paid) vacation lounging on a beach in Fiji, touring the city streets of Japan, or rugged hiking in Australia? Japan. I am not the outdoorsy type so hiking in Australia is not my idea of a vacation, it’s more like penance. (I’d like to visit Australia, but not hike it!) And as much as I like beaches, I’d go stark raving mad with boredom after two weeks there. And I want to go to Japan anyway – someday I’ll get things together enough to go!
10. What is your favorite physical thing about yourself? I am really liking my hair these days. Ever since I stopped fighting it and found someone who can cut it who will work with the natural curl, it’s looked fantastic with relatively little work.
1. How has your week been going? — Okay, but I’m definitely ready for it to be over!
2. Do you color your hair? — Nope. Not for 13 years, since I was 17.
3. What’s on your nails? — OPI, Baguette Me Not. SUCH a mom color, but I love it!!

5. Are there other cosmetics that you love as much as nail polish? — Oh yeah! Love me some eyeshadow and lip gloss (not so much lipstick, because I have ultra dry lips). But I wear nail polish the most.

7. What’s your favorite base and top coat? — Base: non-ridge filling is CND Stickey, ridge filling probably Barielle Camouflage. Top coat: Nubar Diamont and Poshe, but Diamont stinks to all high heaven.
