Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Nail Color for Spring 2010 Swatches and Review

Hey there people of the world!

Today I’ve got yet another new collection from Sally Hansen, but this time it’s from their Insta-Dri line. I only got 4 of the colors, since the others I saw didn’t appeal to me that much. Not sure how many new ones there are but I’m guessing between 6-8 total.

As you may know these are polishes made to be pretty opaque and dry super quick, and they don’t disappoint in those areas. These were all 2 coats and dried very quickly. My only complaint is that the brushes on these are very thick and flat and can be hard to get used to for some people.

Sorry for the sad state of affairs my cuticles are in here, but I had been swatching for hours at this point, and they were feelin’ the pain!

Lickety-Split Lime

Lickety-Split Lime is a bright lime green creme. This isn’t neon, but it’s extremely bright. I think it actually looked good with my skin tone even with all the yellow in it.

Brisk Blue

Brisk Blue is a bright sky blue creme. This is a really pretty blue, but I probably have 1 or 2 that are very similar, just not in a quick dry formula.

Mint Sprint

Mint Sprint is a mint green creme. This is a darker, more blue version of a lot of other mints we have seen lately like RGB Minty or Essie Mint Candy Apple. If you are a fan of teal/mints, this is a good one to add to your collection.

Grape Going!

Grape Going! is a iridescent grape purple that flashes blue and pink. This color is GORGEOUS and one of my favorite kinds of purples. I was wearing this the other day and my manager asked me what it was, she loved it! Oh and before you even ask, no, it’s not a dupe for RBL Scrangie. :)

These were all found at my local Walgreens and were around $5.79 each.

Good Morning :) I just purchased Grape Going! last week, and I noticed that the first coat seemed pretty sheer in comparison to how this line usually applies. Would you agree? Other than that, I’ve never had any problems with SH’s Insta-Dri, and LOVE this color! Today I’m wearing SH’s “Luminous”, with “Matte About You” over it. It’s go-geous. :)

I HAVE A QUESTION: What is a DUPE for the Brisk Blue colour? I am not a fan of sally but I do love that colour :)

    Thanks so much ladies!

I think I want to pick up each one of these! Gorgeous – especially Grape Going! Is Mint Sprint close to anything? I have For Audrey and Dirty Sexy Money and don’t want something close to either of those…

      Hi DancesWithHooves,

For Audrey is very much a “Tiffany” blue, but not exact because that color is copy written. Dirty, Sexy, Money is way more grey, and dusty than Mint Sprint.

    Hi Kelly:

I would not mind wearing any of all four of these beauties, they look fabulous on your nails. What do you mean that your cuticles are in bad shape? They look great!

I own two of these and bought them last year when Michelle Mismas mentioned them on her blog, she also said the brushes were made for her male nail polish fanatics, “that means you George!: I was shocked and felt so honored being mentioned in her web blog, LOL However, you make the polish look so good.

    Have a nice Weekend,

    ((((Love Kelly))))

We just went on a drug store run and bought three of the four of these you listed. Brisk blue was the only one that did not really appeal to us. We are sitting here swatching them right now. They are so freak gorgeous and pretty easy to apply!!! Great swatches as always.

Wow… those are some really pretty colors, thats a steal for instant dry nail polish, I love the blue and the grape ones, but too bad i missed the sale :( I ended up paying 7$ each. Thanks for the post and recommendation, it works great!

I also picked up one of these sassy nail art pens recently and they are great as well!

You know what, the firs thing I thought when i saw these was ” Hey, that mint sprint looks like four leaf clover by cg” and then I scrolled down ” and grape going looks like rimmel london’s violet metal only a bit bluer… hmm”. But I love both of these colors and only wished they sold them over seas where I live, so I’m happy i can buy the cg and rimmel version ^^

PS. Your blog rules the world of polish :D
