1. How has your week been so far? Ok, chugging along. Only 12 more actual days of work for me this month until a nice 2 week break, so I am just trying to get through!
2. What’s on your nails? Essie Chinchilly and I absolutely heart it!
3. Are you afraid of snakes? Nope! I grew up with two 5-6 foot Boa constrictors and a King snake (they were my brothers). The Boa’s names were David & Ziggy (after David Bowie and Ziggy Stardust) and the King snake was named Martin. Funny though, my hubbie ABHORS them, even on TV. 
4. What lipstick/lip gloss are you sporting today? MAC Lipglass in Fine China.
5. What is your favorite season? Used to be summer because I am really a hot weather kinda gal, but I am also very fond of fall now. A few cold days (and by cold, I am a typical Californian, I mean anything under 65) in a row and I am miserable.
6. What polish colors (if any) are on your Xmas list? None, I get everything I want myself because I don’t wanna wait!
7. Real Xmas tree or fake? Real all the way. I don’t understand the fake tree thing because half the reason I get mine is the wonderful scent! I just make sure to get a really fresh one, water it every day, and it lasts through New Years.
8. Did you ever believe in Santa Claus? I don’t think I ever did. I’m a very realistic (and cynical) person and always have been.
9. Who is your idol? Heather Armstrong (aka Dooce.com). I am in awe of her. She was able to turn a little blog bitching about co-workers (in 2001) into a million dollar business (in 2009) that includes two books, TV guest spots and possibly a movie deal! Oh and have I mentioned she’s an amazingly talented and hilarious writer & photographer? Awe I tell you, awe!!
10. Any fun weekend plans? Not really, which is nice. I plan on putting together my two new friends from Ikea, Alex and Helmer. Oh and also playing with my new BFF, my Canon T1i Rebel camera. Yes I finally caved and got it because it was on sale on Black Friday!

- Really lazy. My husband has been off work because of the Eid holiday, and this week he only needs to work two days before it’s weekend again!

I went through a similar thing with my tree when I bought my house years ago. We moved in on I think Oct 30th and the living room was our temporary “storage” place. When Christmas came around it was still packed with crap so I couldn’t get a tree and was kinda bummed. But congrats on the house!!

7. Real Xmas tree or fake? We have a fake tree, just because it was a hand-me-down and it saves us a little money. Growing up we always had a real tree, I love the smell of a real tree and the tradition of driving an hour or so away, and cutting it down yourself.
8. Did you ever believe in Santa Claus? I did when I was little. My best friend growing up was a year older than me, which meant, she found out Santa Claus wasn’t real before I did, so that year she found out, she told me. I had to pretend like I “believed” still and the next year, my mom sat me down and told me, I said “I know, Tina already told me”!
9. Who is your idol? I don’t have an idol.
10. Any fun weekend plans? Saturday we’re going to a Christmas celebration thing near where we live, there are people that dress up like earlier times and you shop through an older part of town where they have smaller businesses and everything looks old-fashioned. Now that I’m writing it, it sounds not so fun, but really it is, lots of shopping!

1. How has your week been so far? Busy and stressful. I was on vacation last week (Vegas, baby!!) so I have a lot to catch up on, and I want a do-over so I can have vacation again. My parents live in Vegas and it was the first time I’ve seen my mom in 6 years so I’m missing her terribly.

3. Are you afraid of snakes? No, snakes are fine. I’m terrified of spiders.

Frustrating. The realm of finals is upon me and I’ve got FIVE essays to do. Four due next week. :cries: Only two more weeks, only two more weeks.

Nothing on my fingers at the moment. I’ve been anti-fall at the moment and wearing Northfolk. I will ignore the horrifying Midwestern winter is coming by wearing bright nails.
3. Are you afraid of snakes?
As long as they’re not running freely, I’m okay with them. I freak out if they roaming free. Although, I haven’t seen any roaming snakes here really in the Midwest.

Nothing yet. It’s 4 PM and I still haven’t gotten dressed (it’s 41F here).
5. What is your favorite season?
Spring, normally. I like fall only until the cold comes storming in. Summers here are normally awful! We’re talking 90 F with 85% humidity. Iiiiiiccky.

Wizard of Ahz mainly. And Illamasqua’s Rampage. That polish WILL be here, I tell thee. I’ve been slobbering over that polish since I first saw swatches of it.

Fake. We’re all allergic to the real thing and we all have black thumbs. We’re notorious for killing just about everything except for aloe and bamboo. We’ve killed some of the hardiest plants out there!

I do, in my heart of hearts, even though I know he’s not real. We have St. Nicholas day on December 6!

Not much time to post so ill just reply to the most important question – what’s on your nails – lol! I thought it was funny that you’re wearing chinchilly cause ive been sporting orly mirror mirror (frankened with a few drops of jet black). It just felt right seasonally. Its been kinda gray here in chicago. I started to get a little tip wear so i topped it with 2 coats of pure ice busted which is a sugary purpink holo topcoat – it looks devine over gray. I think after work tomorrow i’ll start with a clean slate and a few coats of china glaze white on white topped with NYC 105a starry silver glitter, in anticipation of the unavoidable first snowfall rumored to be coming soon.

I totally agree. And gray goes with everything. Its a great alternative to black/blackish since EVERYONE i work with is wearing SOME kind of “black” these days – even the old ladies. I cant stand it. I love the blacks, but i refuse to look like it’s part of the uniform. Its the rebel in me

1. How has your week been so far?–Crappy. Lost my trial on Monday because the judge hates my boss; now trying to get a new trial while preparing for my next one and get the judge to never hear our cases again. Yick!
2. What’s on your nails?–OPI St. Petersburgundy. Blood red, a little creepy, but I’m still lovin it.
3. Are you afraid of snakes?–Not really. They’re certainly not my favorite animals, but I’ve held and handled them, so they don’t totally bug me out.

1. How has your week been so far? pretty bad, probably one of the worst but it’s getting better.
2. What’s on your nails? OPI visions of sugarplum
3. Are you afraid of snakes? not if they’re in a cage and can’t get out.
4. What lipstick/lip gloss are you sporting today? nivea kiss of moisture
5. What is your favorite season? i like xmas season but xmas is only the 3rd or 4th day of winter so i’m gonna say fall. and then summer.
6. What polish colors (if any) are on your Xmas list? i didnt ask for any except for hard candy breakup (what a fitting name for my life right now)
7. Real Xmas tree or fake? fake because my mom is allergic
8. Did you ever believe in Santa Claus? yup, til 4th grade and i cried and ran away from home when i found out
9. Who is your idol? my mom
10. Any fun weekend plans? going home from college!!

5. What is your favorite season? Fall/spring I could not pick which one.
6. What polish colors (if any) are on your Xmas list? None. I just buy them when I want.
7. Real Xmas tree or fake? Fake. I used to only get real ones, but I hate to clean up the pines needles, and my cats used to always mess with the ornaments and brake them, so I use fake. I do miss the smell, so I buy a wreath and it smells up the house just like I have a real tree.
8. Did you ever believe in Santa Claus? I used to totally believe in Santa Claus. I still call the big gifts Santa gifts and my mom writes from Santa on my presents. HE HE!
9. Who is your idol? Don’t really have one.
10. Any fun weekend plans? Probably having a drink with some friends, and Christmas Shopping.

when i was small we got fake ones but now we get real ones,… from Ikea Lol

A trip to MAC with one of my friends
My husband is an Environmental Scientist and when his company has to do a Land Assesment and if they find that Gopher Tortoise are on that piece of property that creates a little problem, the land cannot be developed or used for anything. Gopher Tortoise are Endangered and you cannot relocate them without being a Certified Gopher Tortoise Relocator. So, he is in “School” learning the proper methods of relocating Gopher Tortoise…. Sounds fun huh?

2. What’s on your nails? OPI’s Merry Midnight and I loooooove it! Definitely my best Christmas polish purchase this year!
