New BB Couture For Men Collection Swatches and Review

Ohayo gozaimasu (good morning in Japanese)!

BB Couture has a new men’s collection, their 2nd one, made up of six new amazing colors. I shall be showing you swatches of those today.

What I love about BB Couture is that they don’t follow the typical pattern most other companies do. They put out collections all year ’round, not just seasonal ones. That means that the colors aren’t necessarily “seasonal” ones either, which is great. I get sick of red, green and silver this time of year! The one thing I wish they would do is announce their new collections via email or whatever, so that I know when they actually come out. Sometimes I visit the website and there are all these new colors on there I never heard about!

The formula on these is fantastic, as BB’s usually are. Peep ’em!

BB Couture Impact Driver
Impact Driver

Impact Driver is a dark greyed out blue with really fine pink/green/purple micro-glitter. I love this, it’s very unique and pretty. This was three coats.

BB Couture Stud Finder
Stud Finder

Stud Finder is a gold taupe with tons of shimmer. Sorry this pic is slightly blurry, getting used to a new camera right now! I really like this one also, very unique. This was three coats.

BB Couture Pipe Bender
Pipe Bender

Pipe Bender is a deep green duochrome. It flashes purple and blue and is totally unlike any other green I have. I think a lot of you will love this one as I do! This was three coats.

BB Couture Vise

Vise is a deep navy blue with purple and pink shimmer. Very nice! This was three coats.

BB Couture Hammer Drill
Hammer Drill

Hammer Drill is a red/copper color with loads of gold shimmer. This is really hard to describe but again, unlike any other color I own. This was three coats.

BB Couture Wire Stripper
Wire Stripper

Wire Stripper is a really dark chocolate brown with gold and purple shimmer. This could almost be black, but not quite. Beautiful, I love it (again)! This was three coats.

Overall this collection is totally amazing. They came up with six colors that are really unique and gorgeous, and the quality of their polishes is really consistent and great.

You can find these on the Overall Beauty website here, and they retail for $9.00 each, or $52.00 for the whole collection.

I love that these names all relate to construction, lol. My bf would love the names, just not the idea of wearing polish. Wire stripper and Hammer drill are unique and I like them, maybe after Christmas I will order them and wear them while helping him work on my new house. :)

      Hi Sonya,

Yeah I’m not sure how “manly” these colors are, except for the names. I love them though!

    Hi Kelly:

Just so your readers know the link you have given, if they sugn up with Kim Synder’s Beauty Blog.” you can find her face book page and her twitter page. If you jion Kim as a friend she always has the latest updates on BB nail polishes, sales promotions, ask her about specific products on face book and she will direct them to your face book page or your own twitter page.

I have some of these BB nail polishes for men and they are fabulous! I love the fact that she has a men’s line! She even has swatches for some of her nail varnishes but not all of them. Kelly, I am willing to bet she will ask you to use your swatches on your web blog page to link to her new men’s line for the polishes she doesn’t have. Just a thought. Your nails are always so beautiful! Love the colors onn you and thanks for showing the BB men’s line swatches.

I love pipe bender, wire stripper, and impact driver. They look great as someone who always is into painting his toenails, LOL

      Hi McHuggs,

      Good to know, thanks!

Aren’t these gorgeous? I love this whole collection. :)

I think it’s quite narrow minded, or should I say sad, to have to have this typical manly dark colors in their For Men-collection to make it appeal to men. One the other hand it’s great that BB Couture decides to target men with their nail polish at all, apart from Man Glaze BB Couture is pretty unique about it, right?

My husband wears nail polish both on his toes and fingers from time to time, but his idea is to have bright or sometimes girly colors as a statement, like “no, this isn’t a typical macho accessory and I won’t pretend it is by wearing manly colors”. Right now he’s got a pink/purple and golden duochrome and a couple of weeks ago he had Misa The Grass is Greener on My Side.

      Hi christi,

I know, I don’t know what is it but I cannot seem to get people to comment! Other people will post the same collection and get like 40-50 comments and I get maybe 5. I don’t get it, sigh.

Hmmmm…maybe Hammer Drill and Wire Stripper..tho I’m not crazy about browns. Kelly, I ordered Guppy #64 on Ebay after seeing it on VV. It’s more charcoal than I thought it would be, but I love it..have had it on for an entire week!..the price is great too..!

These are great, and I really love the names, they’re cute!

Oh, and I have a random question for you. Do you know how beauty e-tailers are able to sell nail polish for so much below retail price? For example, on their website Essies sell for $8.00, but an e-tailer sells them for $3.80.

      Hi Jessi,

I really have no idea how they do it to be honest! I hope they don’t stop though. :)
