Nubar Prisms Collection Swatches and Review

Happy Tuesday all!

I hope your week is flying by and is a short one so you can celebrate the holidays soon!

Today I will be showing you Nubar’s new collection of holographic glitter colors called the Prisms Collection, which is made up of eight new colors.

Nubar’s formula is most excellent these are all just top notch, I had no issues whatsoever. They are very holographic also, not just a little bit. Some don’t look like they would be in the bottles but once they’re on its a different story. A couple are more glittery than the others, and I’ll point those out below. All of these were three coats. Check them out!

Nubar Spark
Spark

Spark is a pale beige/gold base with small holo glitter. This is the most “natural” color of the set and the most tame.

Nubar Jewel
Jewel

Jewel is a dark taupe base and filled with super duper holo glitter. This was one of the ones that stood out more. I love it, it’s my fav of the bunch.

Nubar Gem
Gem

Gem is a very pale greyish pink with chunkier holo glitter.

Nubar Brilliant
Brilliant

Brilliant is a medium pink with small holo glitter. I didn’t love this pink on me, but it’s still a nice color overall.

Nubar Essence
Essence

Essence is more of a coral colored pink with small holo glitter. Again I didn’t love this color on me that much.

Nubar Absolute
Absolute

Absolute is a light blue with small holo glitter. Love this one, love pretty much all blue polish on me!

Nubar Prize
Prize

Prize is a bright cherry pink and has the chunkier holo glitter.

Nubar Treasure
Treasure

Treasure is a grape purple also with a huge holo impact. This one was my second favorite, gorgeous!

Overall I think this is a really great collection, especially for those who are way into holographic colors.

You will be able to find these on Nubar’s website on January 1st, and they retail for about $7.50 each.

    Kelly,

How do these compare to the ChG OMG and Kaleidescope collections? Some of these look like they could be possible dupes. Or am I just silly?

      Hi Aquilah,

No dupes here. I would say the ChG ones are more holographic and I like the colors a little better.

Well, as I am no holo lover, I’ll pass on these, I’ll pass on anything holo, duochrome and heavy, chunky glitter.
I am however glad companies are releasing NP for us the specially interested, and not only reds and pinks.

I’m with the “not holo enough for me” sisterhood.
Glittery, yes. But holo? Tbh, the Hansen Prisms range is slightly more holo than these and cheaper – not such a range of colours though.

Nubar has the perfect formula and it really wears like iron. Next to China Glaze, Nubar is my 2nd favourite. They have fabulous colours. My one beef with them is that they don’t ship to Canada, so the only way I can get my manicured hands on these is through eBay.

I agree w/ TipsToToes. For me, they are a little too subtle for holos. Thank you for swatching VV!

I’ve not tried a Nubar polish yet, but I am a big fan of their top coat. Jewel looks fab, you don’t seem to see many brown holos, do you.

Ooohh, I can’t believe I haven’t tried Nubar yet. I wanted to get a couple of those polishes from their chocolates collection, and now I want a couple here. I love these, particularly Jewel and Gem. Those last 3 are pretty cool, also. Thanks so much for all of the swatching that you do. Happy Holidays!

Love these! Normally I’d be all over the jewel tones, but for some reason the more neutral colors are calling my name.

I am the biggest lover of holo polish in the universe, so I will need all of these, no question about it. Spark even looked like it could be “pseudo work safe”, a little like OPI Ds Design and CC Love’em Leave’em. Am I right?

(btw great VV Line from BB! Surely, they are all going on my lemming list even if they’re not holos. I love glitter too!)

It doesn’t look quite holo-y enough for me, I like flashy holos like the Nfu Oh ones.
