Vampy Varnish Fav’s Featuring: Green
Morning ya’ll!
Wow was this hard! Figuring out my top 5 greens was basically a ridiculous feat. First I went through all of them, and after writing down about 15, I realized I needed separate green categories. The ones I am showing today are more “classic” greens like Emerald, etc. I will publish a totally different olive/khaki green category post at a later date. There are quite simply SO many I love!
Here they are in no particular order!
Deborah Lippmann Don’t Tell Mama
I almost forgot this one!!! I came up with my top 5 and had them all ready to insert into the post when I felt like something was off. Then I remembered this one, which is THA BOMB! It’s dark, vampy and deep jade green. Love it!
Diamond Cosmetics Never So Ever-Green
Oh yes, this had to make it on the list. While it might not seem like your average green, it’s so pretty. It’s shimmery, mossy, golden and very flattering.
BB Couture Grenade
Yup, another one of my fav greens. BB makes quite a few fabulous greens, and I had a hard time choosing which one would make this list. But then I looked at my swatches and how this one glows, and decided this was definitely it.
Rescue Beauty Lounge Orbis Non Sufficit
I absolutely love this color. It’s the perfect muted, dusty army green. There is nothing else like it and the only creme on the list.
China Glaze Emerald Sparkle
And now for the “obvious” choice. Can’t help it though, it’s soooooooooooo green and glittery, and just perfect for the holidays. In fact, this is what I was wearing last Christmas.

I should do lists like these. I don’t have as many polishes as you (about 70?) But I love the idea.
Zoya Midori is probably my favorite green. Love it!

I love all the greens you posted. From a swatch I saw, there is a nice green from Hard Candy called envy. I can’t find the China Glaze here, was thinking about ordering it on line.
How do you think the Hard Candy one compares to the CG one?

If anything, Envy looks a lot more like Lippmann’s Don’t Tell Mama.

Favourite greens…wow, that’s tough! I think I have two, one is a sheer shimmer polish from the local dollar store that adds some bright green kaboom! to any base color. The second one is Alessandro Nr.257, which is a dark army green with bronze and silver microglitter and green/blue duochrome flakies <3

I love CG- Emerald Sparkle & CG- Gussied Up Green, but I’m also in love with the new ‘Finger Paints- Evergreen Dream’. It’s beautiful, and not loaded with tons of annoying glitter which is also another plus. It’s basically a shimmer version of Emerald Sparkle, they’re so close, not exact, but close. But you can never have too many greens, in my opinion.

I am also wearing Emerald Sparkle today! When I showed my coworkers one of them gasped at it’s fabulousness and another one squeed and did a little dance. I think we have some new converts.
I’m new to green polish but ES was my first and is still my favorite. I also hot in on zoyas green Friday deal and can’t wait to wear all those too. I wasn’t crazy about Verushka but the others are stunning.
Like your top five.. May have to go shopping again.

Emerald Sparkle is the obvious choice for #1 because it delivers. It deserves every rave review it gets. It’s just that great a color. My favorite green that gets no press is Maybelline Express Finish Jade Flash. It’s probably technically a shimmer, but the finish reminds me of green satin fabric.

I can’t wait to see more of your fave greens! I love Illamasqua’s Rampage and New York Summer Amaranth. I also like the green glitters, RBL Locavore, Sinful Colors’ Call You Later (layered over a dark green) and your pick, CG’s Emerald Sparkle.

I’m wearing emerald sparkle atm as well and it is one of my favorite colors. I also really dug a Zoya green I got recently with their green friday deal…a deep green creamy color…maybe it was called Envy? Yeah anyway I usually wear nailpoish with shimmer and sparkle but I really dug that as well it might be one of my new favorites.

The only green I currently own is China Glaze Emerald Sparkle. I am just not a green fan but that color rocks! The only other green I ever owned was an Urban Decay color. The name of it I don’t remember but it was a beautiful light lime green shimmer. Long discontinued, of course, and I finished the bottle years ago.

Unfortunately, I bought Sinful’s Let Me Go before I read your post about it. Instead of just throwing it away, and I decided to use it as a top coat over NYC’s Manhattan (crimson cream) and it actually makes a pretty coke bottle green. I was really surprised. This is the first time I’ve worn any nail polish that’s remotely green, so I think I need to work my way up to emeralds.

I just got Sephora OPI- Absinthe makes the heart today. I get an OPI nailpolish every year from my hubby. So he told me to get 1 since I was going to the mall. I picked that 1, but haven’t worn it yet. I want to wear it for X-mas eve. So I’ll have to talk him into letting me wear it early.

I agree with Emerald Sparkle and RBL ONS, the rest of my list would be Barielle Date Night, Zoya Irene and China Glaze Watermelon Rind…of course that’s only what I can recall from memory. If I could look at my stash right now I’m sure it would be very hard to pick just 5 greens.

Love your green choices! Those first two from Deborah Lippmann and Diamond Cosmetics are really calling me. Where do you find those two brands? The only one I already own is China Glaze Emerald Sparkle, but I haven’t gotten to try it yet. I’m so glad I picked up that RBL Orbis Non Sufficit during the big sale, can’t wait to get it! I was trying to decide between RBL Recycle and this one–wound up buying both! I’m looking forward to seeing your alternative top 5 green soon.

I just bought Emerald Sparkle and 5 Gold Rings last night at Sallys and I got the last bottle of Emerald Sparkle in the store! I felt so lucky. I can’t decide which one to do on my nails first!
