Today is my moms bday and she insisted that i not spend any money on her. So im gonna give her a manicure. Im schlepping the best of my stash (about 30 colors) over to her house this afternoon. Im really interested to see what color(s) she chooses. She never wears np, last time she had a mani was prob 6 years ago for a wedding. And when i ask her if she likes mine she gives me the standard mom answer – very nice honey. Im excited to show her how good my painting skills (and np selection) have gotten – shes gonna be amazed at Seche Vite! I cant wait to share my love of np with her on her bday!

Thanks for compiling this list and for all the effort you put into designing this website. With winter here now, my cuticles are getting super dry. Here’s hoping I get some CND solar oil in my stocking. Do you have a preference between the oil or the balm?

      Hi Tabula Rasa,

I prefer the oil. I had the balm but one day in the summer my purse got really hot, and so did the balm. It got all waxy and weird, so I had to toss it! It is easier to use, but I prefer the oil. :)

These are all definitely gifts that I would want, I don’t have any polish-crazy friends (like me) though. Sigh.

For the polish fiend who is hard to buy polish for, I have to recommend GingerKittyDesigns on Etsy! She makes nail polish jewelery! They’re gorgeous and sparkles like mad. I adore the pair of Starry Starry Night earrings that I got.

    Extremely helpful. Thank you.
Btw I just have to comment on your twitter comment about the British and tea. I’m not a twitterer but I saw your twitter on your home page.
Earl Grey should be served in a porcelain cup and it is simply not the done thing to permit the tag to be visible. Naturally one serves leaf-tea at home so there would be no tag.
You may think the Japanese have intricate tea-rituals but there is a great deal to be mastered about tea in England. It’s a matter of class, don’t you know? You are the mistress of varnish. I claim to be a mistress of tea. ;o)

      Hi Jen,

That was a bone china cup, which I think is probably good enough. Didn’t know about the tea tag, but I’m only joking anyway, so I’m not too worried that I won’t be let back into the country ever, LOL!

Jaqua’s Pink Buttercream Frosting is my all time favorite lotion. It smells good enough to eat and leaves my skin so soft and hydrated but not greasy. Good call!!!

      Hi Alison,

Isn’t it fab? My hubbie hates the smell of it, too sweet for him, but I LURVE it!
