Milani Black Magic Collection Swatches and Review
Good morning! Halloween is only two days away, do you know what you will be yet?
Milani released a collection for Halloween this year called Black Magic. It’s six super cool glittery colors, but sadly, I only have five. I hunted down the 6th a few places, but no one had it. So I am missing Whimsical (a blackened purple glitter) in this review, sorry!
This is my first ever experience with Milani, and I am actually very pleased with the formula. These are pretty thin and watery, but build up nicely after three coats. Even though they are thin, they don’t run all over, so where you put them is where they stay. Nothing worse than runny polish, argh!
I think I always stayed away from Milani in the past because the bottles, in my opinion, are hideous. They are soooo early 80′s to me with the gold lettering and the font, and I am normally very drawn to aesthetically pleasing packaging. BUT these colors were so cool looking I got them anyway, and I’m happy. Check them out.
Spellbinding
Spellbinding is a black with red glitter. I love black with red glitter and this is one of the best ones I’ve seen recently.
Magical
Magical is a black with orange glitter. This is perfecto for the Halloween season! I seriously LOVE this color and have been wearing it the past 3 days 
Fairytale
Fairytale is black with blue glitter. Another outstanding vampy glitter, love it.
Enchantment
Enchantment is black with “blurple” glitter. I love a good “blurple” anything, so this might be my favorite one of the bunch.
Charmed
Charmed is black packed with silver glitter. Sorry for this horrible picture for some reason they all came out bad. This is super, duper silvery and gorgeous.
Overall I think this is one of my favorite collections to come out recently because I really love every single color, and will wear every color, which doesn’t happen often. I wish I had Whimsical, but I might still find it somewhere!
I found these at my local CVS stores (not at Walgreens, Rite Aid, WalMart or Target though) and I think they were around $6.00 each.

I love Magical and Fairytale the most, but I haven’t been able to find them at all. There’s only one CVS by me, and they didn’t get any of the Halloween polishes in. No one else seems to carry Milani around here. =(

I had a really hard time finding them also. I went to three different CVS stores to try and find Whimsical, but none had it, ugh!
Great colors. The bottles are totally 80′s!! haha, that is what I think every time I see them. The brand is pretty good though, I have disco lights and some glittery white polish.

Would you say Spellbinding is a little like ChG’s Lubu Heels? Which do you like better?

I think Lubu Heels is more blackened, and much darker actually.
In my town, Walgreen’s and K-Mart both carry Milani–but they don’t have this collection. I love how they look on you, and I love ALL the colors you’ve tried. I just wish I could buy them online since I can’t get these at my stores.

I tried all over and no luck anywhere but CVS. However I almost missed them because they were mixed in with the Halloween stuff and not with regular makeup!
You can buy these direct from Milani! I don’t have the #, but check the website. There are lots of NB girls who bought them there.
I *just* saw a display that had at least one of each color left in it. VV, I could run by and pick up whimsical for you after I get out of work.

I noticed that you mentioned you are missing Whimsical. I accidentally bought 3 bottles of Whimsical. Each time I went into CVS and saw the Black Magic Display I couldn’t remember if I had it or not, so I ending up buying it, 3 times. I just got Fairytale & spellbinding today. I found them @ the 2nd CVS I checked. I haven’t tried them yet.

Ha ha ha, I’m not going as anything but Zena is! She’s going as the Lil’ Stinker! I cannot wait to take her to the vet in the costume, they’re all going to love it (she’s very popular there). It’s soooooooooooo cute.
I love Fairytale and Enchantment best. I couldn’t tell you if the bottles are 80s or not; I was born in ’89 so no 80s experience. I did watch lots of 80s movies and shows though (still do, actually).

I haven’t had much luck with Milani nail polishes in the past, but I will DEFINITELY be checking these out! There’s not one I don’t LOVE!

Those colors look interesting. I so have to check the cvss by my home. There is like three by my home. I have one question to ask you. How many times do you change yyyour nail polish in a week?

I usually change 2 times per week. Sometimes 3 if I feel like it. My polish generally lasts 72 hours when I do a mani without chipping or wear.

I bought the Fairy Tale and Whimsical. After seeing your pics. I have to get the Enchancement. I didn’t see that color when I bought the others. I love the blurples too!

I’m a packaging fiend! I’ve always disliked the Milani bottles and therefore never felt the urge to pick any of them up! Fairytale looks amazing though, so I may have to get over it and get one while I can.
Loving Spellbinding in particular! I’m going to be myself with orange nails for halloween as my friend decided to have a not-halloween party tomorrow night – might bring some costumey accessories to mess with her head…

I bought these shades. I never used Milani before. I saw these swatched and decided and decided to buy them. I haven’t used them yet and I hope I really like them.
