Brite Bird Mineral Eyeshadow Swatches and Review

It’s a dark, damp, dreary morning here, hope it’s sunnier where you are!

If you read my post on Sunday I mentioned that a lovely Swedish blogger named Sanna from MakeupMyLack (yes, it seems to be the week of the Swedes on VV haha!) has created some really cool mineral eyeshadows under the name Brite Bird. Well I got mine in the other day and they are AWESOMMMMEEEEEE!

What I love the most about these is that A. The packaging is great, the small holes allow just a little powder to come through so you don’t wind up wasting or spilling any and B. The colors are SO vivid and opaque. You can also use them wet for even more impact. Check them out!

This is a sample Sanna sent me of her new pressed powder shadow. This is Green Beauty Queen, and it’s a bright green with a hint of gold to it.

I am really happy with these and definitely plan on buying more. I am fairly new to the whole loose or mineral eyeshadow thing (I do have some from Fyrinnae which are amazing) and so far I’m impressed!

You can find these on her site (linked above) and the price is about $4-6 US each.

What do you guys think?

  • Sanna is great! I’ve ordered a few of her pigments and I love them, and of course I’ve been a follower of her blog for a long time now.
The Swedish beauty blogging scene is quite large. Cheers from another one! :)

Just the colors that I love. I have loads of mineral makeup. I started out with Bare Essentials and now buy from TheSheSpace. I have so much that I need life times to wear it all. I just find color so beautiful and satisfying to look at. I guess that’s why I have so many nail polishes and so much makeup. Wish I could paint or do pastels then maybe I wouldn’t have this obsession. Hope you do some makeup looks with these.

    • Hi Lucy,

I actually wore three of the colors the other day and took about 50 pics of my eyes but they looked horrible! I am not as adept at taking makeup photos yet as I am nail photos! I am trying though :)

  • I love the green beauty queen eyeshadow. Looks like it would give an great intense colour and I find that mineral eye shadows do tend to last quite well. Will definately have to try getting hold of this brand.

    • Hi dramaqueensmum,

Yes I did pick a winner yesterday afternoon, but she hasn’t responded yet. If she doesn’t by tomorrow afternoon (after 48 hours) I will draw another and email that person! :)
