Morning!

Over the last year I had been on the hunt for my #1 lemming which was China Glaze Out On Safari. I had looked high and low, and no one seemed to be selling it on eBay or anywhere else online. Then recently, I saw new swatches of it on Flickr so I emailed the person to ask her where she got it. I was really hoping whoever sold it to her had another that they would sell me. Well she responded and said she was actually a fan of my blog! She found the color in a local salon by her house and he told me that she never used it, other than to swatch it once, and would I like to have it? I almost screamed with delight, I was so excited. I asked her if she was SURE she just wanted to give it up and she said yes.

When I got it in the mail it was in a huge box. I was like, wow that’s a lot of box for one polish. When I opened it up there were TWENTY THREE other polishes in the box!!! She sent me twenty four polishes out of the kindness of her heart for free! Some of these brands I have never even heard of before. I am so grateful to her for this, people amaze me sometimes.

Happy Saturday morning!

Today I’ve got CND’s Blackjack to show you with the effects. There is definitely a difference in Blackjack compared to some of the lighter colors with the effects, as you’ll see.

A couple people had requested that I also show you what the effects look like over my bare nail so you could see them on their own. I was happy to oblige, so I’ll show you those swatches soon!

Oh and I forgot to actually take a picture of Blackjack on it’s own so to let you know, it’s basically a solid black creme. I used two coats.

Blackjack with Ice Blue Shimmer on thumb, Sapphire Sparkle on pointer, Amethyst Sparkle on middle, Emerald Shimmer on ring and Jade Sparkle on pinky.

Because Blackjack is a solid black color the effects came out either deeper or brighter with this one. It’s pretty interesting how it works depending on the polish color!

Good afternoon all!

I got my MAC Style Black nail lacquers in and had to show them right away because they are so cool. There are three in this collection but I didn’t get Nocturnelle because it’s just a solid black creme, and I have a gazillion of those already.

The formula for both of these was pretty good. They do seem a wee bit thick, but nothing to panic about. After the first coat just let it dry for about 2 minutes, then apply a second coat and you are good to go. Check them out!

Baby Goth Girl

Baby Goth Girl is a dark purple with red shimmer and different sized gold glitter flakes. I love it because it’s unique and very fall looking. I also love the flake glitter rather than the typical round shape, it makes it more interesting to me. This was two coats.

Happy Friday!!

Today I’ve got CND’s Raisin In The Sun effects comparisons. We are nearing the end of this week long CND extravaganza, but I still have a couple more so stay tuned!

Raisin In The Sun

Raisin In The Sun by itself is a gorgeous deep reddish brown creme. I love this color and it looks great with my skin tone. This was two coats to get it completely opaque.

The biggest Sephora I have ever seen is on the Las Vegas strip and this is she. I didn’t go in because I didn’t need anything there, and it’s not anything that different. They just basically have all the brands (except MAC of course) that you find in other stores all in one place. This is one of THREE Sephora stores on the strip, if you can believe it. Oh in case you don’t know, the strip is only 3 miles long!
