CND Colour Effects Featuring Raisin In The Sun
Happy Friday!!
Today I’ve got CND’s Raisin In The Sun effects comparisons. We are nearing the end of this week long CND extravaganza, but I still have a couple more so stay tuned!
Raisin In The Sun
Raisin In The Sun by itself is a gorgeous deep reddish brown creme. I love this color and it looks great with my skin tone. This was two coats to get it completely opaque.
Raisin In The Sun with Ice Blue Shimmer on thumb, Sapphire Sparkle on pointer, Amethyst Sparkle on middle, Emerald Shimmer on ring and Jade Sparkle on pinky
For the most part the effects I used on this look very much the same as they did with Dark Ruby. I could barely detect a difference between the two to be totally honest. So I didn’t write anything below the macro shots for this post because they are SO similar. Still gorgeous, but if you were to go for a deep red/brown vampy from CND and plan on wearing them with their effects, I would do either Dark Ruby or Raisin In The Sun, not both.

Lovely shade on you. I don’t think I’ll bother buying this. Can’t I just layer other colors, glosses and get the same effect?

I think that colors that are very similar will pretty much turn out the same with the effects, like Dark Ruby and Raisin In The Sun. But when you try them over say a blue, red and green polish then they will all be different. Does that make sense?
