China Glaze Chrome Nail Polish Swatches and Review

Happy Monday morning to ya!

As you probably already know, China Glaze has released 50 new colors in their Glitters and Chrome Collection, some of which are already available in stores and some which aren’t quite yet. I already reviewed some of them here a few weeks ago and today I’ve got some of the new chrome ones.

The formula on these is pretty great and opaque, but use a light hand as chromes can get streaky. These are all two coats.

China Glaze Millenium

Millennium is a metallic silver. This almost looks like my nails are wrapped in silver foil it’s SOOOO chrome. I love it. I think this is the most silver looking polish I’ve ever used. This might be part of their upcoming Khrome Collection (not to be confused with the Glitter & Chrome Collection) which is a six piece set. I don’t know though, I have no information on this directly from China Glaze so I don’t want to confirm or deny that.

China Glaze Twent-Four K
wenty-Four K

Twenty-Four K is a warm metallic gold with subtle shimmer. Really gorgeous and vivid and it actually looked good on me!

China Glaze In Awe Of Amber
n Awe Of Amber

In Awe Of Amber is a warm amber toned metallic with a lot of tiny shimmer particles. This one reminds me of melted caramels!

Overall I really liked all of these and usually I am not huge into chromes/metallics. These might already be available at your local Sally’s or at e-tailers online, but don’t quote me on that.

How are you liking these, do you think you’ll pick any of them up?

Stay tuned for more China Glaze glitter swatches and review and a Sally Hansen exclusive color!

I thought that there were two separate collections – Glitters, Shimmers and Cremes is one, and then Khromes is a completely different one? In Awe of Amber and 24k seem to be part of the Glitters, Shimmers and Cremes, available at Sally’s exclusively, and Millennium seems to be part of Khrome.

      Hi Anonymous,

Yeah I saw that also. They didn’t send me press release info so I had to assume Millennium was part of Khrome from that promo pic. It’s a bit confusing!

Is Millenium similar to the long-discontinued Maybelline Mirror Shine? I’m on the fence about buying MS on eBay.

      Hi The Asian Girl,

You know I have no clue I don’t think I have ever bought any Maybelline polishes. It’s like liquid metal though!

I’m wearing Millennium right now & really like it – it is almost as bright as the Maybelline Mirror Image.

I’m not sure In Awe of Amber is really part of the new releases … the Sallys that I went to had it with the others, but it also had a slot in the main ChG display – also on China Glaze’s website I just saw today they have some promotional images for the Khrome collection, and it doesn’t not include In Awe of Amber … although it is a lovely color.

      Hi Colette,

I know that In Awe Of Amber and Twenty-Four K are not part of the “Khrome” collection but they are part of their new 50 glitters, chromes, etc. collection. I am thinking that Millennium IS part of Khrome though. Confusing much hahaha!

These are all available at my Sally’s already, and I’ve got Millenium, swatched and ready to post to my blog. I’ll bet Twenty-Four K is still there, as is In Awe of Amber. Anyway, these look great on you, especially (especially especially) the Millenium.
