Rescue Beauty Lounge The Blog Writer’s Colors
Monday. Again. Sigh. Maybe the polishes I am about to show will cheer some of you ‘I’ve got the Monday blues’ folks up.
You may have heard that Rescue Beauty Lounge paired up with three great nail polish bloggers to create The Blog Writer’s Colors collection. These ladies wanted to create a polish that wasn’t yet available on the market and was something they had dreamt about. Well I can say I think they managed to do that, and the results are simply fabulous.
I don’t even think I have to say anything about the formula, Rescue Beauty Lounge is some of the best polish out there. Not a single flaw with application on any of these, as I would expect from a color that costs $18.00 per bottle! Peep ‘em out!
Scrangie. Not only has she been blogging about nail polish longer than anyone else, she is also the coolest nail polish blogger out there (I mean she’s a fellow metal-head after all!) Scrangie came up with an INSANELY original and phenomenal color. Of the three, this one for me was THE most unlike anything else I’ve ever seen and it’s my fantasy color that I didn’t even know I wanted! The color idea came from her wanting to replicate the color of a beetle’s wings, and I really think this is close. The color is an iridescent lavender with heavy light blue and green shimmer that flashes different colors depending on the light. Just two coats.
Orbis Non Sufficit was created by Steph otherwise known as The Polish Addict. Steph has incredibly beautiful nails and a passion for “odd” colors like mushroom and army greens. I happen to have that same passion, and I am SOOOO glad she created this color because it’s now one of my fav greens ever. This is an army green creme that has a dusty quality to it. I love that it’s not olive or khaki or emerald colored because that’s what makes it original. This was two coats.
Mismas is brought to us by Michelle from All Lacquered Up who has been blogging about nail polish since early 2007 and knows her stuff! This is a beautiful deep royal purple creme that Michelle felt was missing from her stash of purples (and I think her stash is probably ginormous!). Though I do have a lot of purple cremes, I can say none look quite like this one. It’s very flattering on my fair skin, especially. This was two coats.
Obviously overall I am totally impressed by all these colors and am really happy to be adding them to my collection of polishes. The only issue I foresee with these is that people will want them all but since they are expensive, they won’t be able to afford them all. It’s definitely a splurge but Christmas (yikes) IS only a few months away now…
You can find these on Rescue Beauty Lounge’s website here and they are $18.00 each

Hi Maria,
Thanks so much!
I bought Scrangie and it’s gorgeous. It’s the single most expensive nail polish I have EVER purchased. I love the color. It reminds me of my Fyrinnae eye shadows Faerie Glamour and Wicked.

Hi Fresco Phyrra,
I know exactly the Fyrinnae shadow you are talking about and you’re right, it does. I love it!
These are gorgeous! I have not seen them on the nail until now and I love all three of them!
Hi Sonya,
They are fabulous right?
I love that Rescue Beauty Lounge chose to do this. A nice nod to the lovers of their product. It’s a shame, however, that some of these colors have since become somewhat popular in other brands, although they are nowhere close to being duplicated. I feel like they would have made a greater impact before the release of other purples and this recent wave of greens that we’ve seen show up on the market. However, that does not detract from their greatness. I especially love Scrangie–a truly unique combination of colors!

Hi Project Polish,
Yeah I know what you mean especially about the purple cremes, we have seen SO many lately. Scrangie’s seems to be the overall fan favorite
Wow, looks like a lot of nail blogers listen to metal! Me too

Scrangie is my favourite colour out of the bunch – wow, love how it shimmers, but sadly it’ll never be mine because the shipping rates to Canada are crazy high. I’ll just have to keep coming back to see your swatches of it and be content with that.

Hi Glockoma,
Oh no that sucks!! How much IS shipping there anyway?
I think Scrangie is my favorite. It’s the most unique one and I just really like the color.

I love Scrangie’s! The combination of purple and aqua is gorgeous!
Definitely have to order these. Love these colors.
Hi Kelly:
Love the new look of your newly designed web site and your nails never looked more beautiful. The three polishes look so stunning today! I love the way “Scrangle” and how she set out to design a color that represents “beetle wings” you can really see it in the macro shot, along with traces of blue, green and lavender, just the way it sparkles it’s amazing!
Orbis Non Sufficit is a flawless army green that I also love. The color is so beautiful and gorgeous as is “Mismas” Michelle’s loves her purples (and her greens as well). But this purple is again flawless. I wonder how these colors would look with a coat of OPI Matte Nail Envy? Why? Because I just love the mattes and what effect they have on the color polishes.

I was able to purchase all of them. They look incredible on you
Awwwe, I’m blushing! Thanks for the kind words, you rock! And I look great on you *wink wink* LOL Sorry, it sounds so dirty, I love saying that. Everyone did such a great job on their colors, I love them all and I’ve worn each of them a whole bunch of times already. <3
Hi Scrangie,
You really do look most fabulous on me
Oh yes! I love Scrangie (there’s probably something slightly obscure metal about it
), and I like ONS (haha! haha! haha!) a lot too. I’d really, REALLY like to own them, try them, wear them, but unfortunately, Ji Baek does not want international customers, as the int’l shipping is… $38.50. Yikes. I’m so sad, not to mention depressed, about this, but I guess I’ll have to just keep on drooling over pics like yours, Kelly! And congrats on yhour new, beautiful blog, btw! (Love the daily photo feature!)

Hi Feline,
Awww that’s so sad that it’s that expensive to ship there! I will never understand why it’s so expensive. I just shipped a box of stuff over to the UK and it was $36.00, sigh. So glad you like my new site, I love it
The weird thing is, though, all other companies are cheaper. TD ships 8 bottles for $16, Overall Beauty ships 3 bottles for $6! So there are ways…
2 bottles for $38.50 won’t do.
Now, update your daily photo! *giggles*

I bought all three shades. They are certainly worth it to me. I’ve been wearing Scrangie for 5 days now. I just added another coat so it’s darker than your swatch. It’s still beautiful. I keep meaning to take it off but then it’s so pretty. The other two are fantastic also. Greens are my favorite. Purple is my next favorite. This collection is just perfection to me.
