Misa I’m Only Human Collection Fall 2009
Let’s all celebrate the last day of the week, shall we? WHOO HOO!
Ok now that that’s been done, I can show you Misa’s new fall collection called I’m Only Human. This collection consists of six creme polishes.
I happen to love Misa nail polish. The formula is SO nice, always creamy and opaque and just wonderful to apply. The Poisoned Passion collection was spectacular and Toxic Seduction is one of my favorite colors ever. There’s just nothing else like it. Now having said that, these are not on the same playing field as some of their past collections. And that’s the LAST sports analogy I will EVER use again, I promise.
The formula was still just as nice as previous ones, if not a little thick and they were all just two coats, which is great. I feel that this was a very safe collection though. I had kind of expected some serious vampy colors or crazy shimmers or something, but we didn’t get that this time around. Let me know what you think.
Today Is My Birthday!
Today Is My Birthday is a warm pink/red berry color. Very nice on fair skin.
I’m Going To Love Myself
I’m Going To Love Myself is a medium pink/lilac. I really like this, it’s super pretty, if not totally mind blowing.
That’s My Little Secret
That’s My Little Secret is another red/pink, but this one is darker and cooler than Today Is My Birthday!
Sorry Just Can’t Help It
Sorry Just Can’t Help It is a dark grape color. Gorgeous, flattering but it seems like every single fall collection this year has a variation of this color and I’m a little burned out by it. If I don’t see it for 6 months I will fall in love with it again.
Forgive, Forget, For Me I Will
Forgive, Forget, For Me I Will. HUH? I do not understand the name at all, but let’s move past that. This is a burnt orange/red creme.
Can’t Nobody Take Me Down
Can’t Nobody Take Me Down is a brown/purple that looks a bit chocolate-y, but not quite. Turns out I like this one the most, which I wasn’t expecting. This is an unusual color, very flattering and that’s why I like it so much.
Overall all these were nice colors and very wearable, but it’s just like, not love for me. I was really hoping for hardcore vampy colors, maybe a deep royal purple with red shimmer or something. Hopefully the next time around we will get some cool unexpected ones!

I love Misa also. Nice application and love their colors. These are all very pretty shades. Nothing new or different. A safe Fall collection. I don’t really think there were any standouts in this collection. I can skip this collection.

Hmm I´m just wondering about similarities with OPI fall collection. I bought OPI Tapas and I´m curious if Can’t Nobody Take Me Down is different or almost the same.

I do like all of these colors, but I don’t love them. They look great on you – but they all look familiar. Thank goodness I can probably skip one collection almost entirely this fall! I don’t *need* a single one of these.

Oh yum! I hear ya when you say these are not the most original shades, but I really really love them. Even the brown, which is usually not my thing. “Sorry just can’t help it” and “That’s my little secret” are probably my faves. Gah, I wanted nothing to do with this collection until I saw your swatches, and now I’ll probably have to get them all!

Just love these polishes, the “Today is my Birthday” is such a pretty red berry color and looks super on your nails. But I am loving “I’m Going to Love Myself” and “That’s My little Secret.” Now I know why some woman love the red colored nail varnishes.
“But “sorry, Just Can’t Help it” it’s true this dark grape color is fascinating and looks so gorgeous and super dazzling on your nails. My favorite is “Can’t Nobody Take Me Down” but I can’t see any purple with the brown, it looks just chocolaty brown to me. Anyway, nice job and the names Misa picks I feel give some woman an added boost of confidence and self esteem when they decide what colors to pick for their nail varnishes.

Just thought I’d mention that for now, Misa can’t be ordered online directly from the company, you do have to call them and place an order by phone. (They’re re-vamping their website, apparently, not sure of the time table.)
