Morning folks! Check out my swatches and review of Nubar’s new all green collection called Going Green on Makeup and Beauty Blog here!
Today I am showing you Jessica’s Burlesque Beauty collection, which is new for fall 2009. The idea behind this collection was a menagerie of “Moulin Rouge” like colors that are both dramatic and glamorous. There are six colors in this collection and all are cremes with the exception of one which has a very subtle shimmer. Jessica’s polishes are eco-friendly, meaning they are big 3 free. They also contain UVA/UVB protection in them to protect against sun damage and Vitamin A for nail conditioning.
I have to say I wasn’t much of a Jessica fan until their spring collection came out this year. Their colors never spoke to me before, but I really think this is their best collection yet! Though all the colors may not be ones you have never seen before, the formula is freakin fantastic. I mean FANTASTIC! These were SO amazingly creamy, smooth, opaque and easy to apply. I barely had any nail clean up afterward because the polish stayed where I put it with no runs. All colors applied in just two coats with 1 exception. Read on!

Feather Boa
Feather Boa is a really pretty mauve purple with a slightly smoked out effect. This is particularly flattering on fair skin tones I think because of the cool undertones in it. I really liked this color a lot and can definitely see myself wearing on nails and/or toes for fall.

Looks like Sephora by OPI is going matte! They aren’t out yet, but hopefully they will be REALLY soon and hopefully a lot better than OPI’s finish was. I am particularly interested in Metro Chic since it’s one of my all time favorite colors ever!

Morning Peeps! Funky french manicures are all over the place recently and I am really glad about that. I am SO OVER the basic french nail I could scream, and that goes for the french pedicure as well. It seems as though every other female in the Bay Area has acrylic french nails with blinding white, thickly painted tips. In a word: TACKY & OVERDONE. Ok that was two words, but who’s counting?
For the record, I’m not really the glue-on nails kinda gal, never have been and don’t think I ever will be. However, I did have some fun with these limited edition Kiss Neon Everlasting French Nail Kits that just came out for the summer. They are only available through the end of this month so get ‘em while their hot! They come in hot pink, green and orange and also have a funky design on some of them so you can add an extra dash of *oomph* to your look. They also have the hot pink tips for toes and I’m just not sure how I feel about that, LOL!

These are the medium length and are glue-on’s (as opposed to tabs) for up to 7 days of wear. The kit comes with 28 nails in 14 different sizes, 2g glue, mini-file and a manicure stick. Now I must admit that I didn’t use glue for these. I used some stick on tabs from another kit I have. I just cannot commit to a look like this for more than a few minutes, it’s just not really me. However if you use the glue, they stay on much longer and adhere better. For removal, you can get their handy All or 1 Artificial Nail Remover kit which removes up to 5 nails at once in just a few minutes. No nail polish today folks but what I DO have for your are pics of my furry friends. I know a lot of you are new readers and may not have seen the animals (3 cats and a dog) that make up my “family” so I thought I would share the cuteness with you! I also happen to know a lot of you are cat people so you should enjoy these! I am going in order of oldest to youngest, lest the “elder” gets offended ![]()
