Happy Monday! Dior came up with a cool new color exclusively for Nordstrom called Lemon Balm. I have no clue what the name has to do with the color since it’s not “lemony” at all, but it IS incredible either way and I totally heart it! Peep it out!

Sweeeeeeet isn’t it? Dior describes the color as being a purple platinum, but honestly I don’t really see that here. It is really hard to describe though. The base is like a plum mixed with brown. What makes this color truly spectacular is the shimmery finish which has gold, pink and green all mixed in.

As you can see, this isn’t one that looks even remotely blackened in the shade or indoors. It’s dark and totally perfect for fall and what I like the most is that its unusual and not like anything else I already have. The formula was really nice and smooth, nothing to complain about and this was perfect in just two coats.

As I mentioned, this color is a Nordstrom exclusive so if you want it, you can find it here. The price is expensive, as you would expect from Dior at $20.00 per bottle and Dior bottles are smaller than the average at just 0.33 oz compared to most which are 0.5 oz.

This is really a gorgeous color and your swatch is the best I have seen. Really, the color is what some woman say, “I can’t stop looking at my nails…” It’s dazzling and I don’t know what other color would match it’s brilliance and shine. I have to have it to add to my other nail varnish collections. Twenty dollars is expensive and the most I would ever think of paying for one bottle of polish but it’s amazing! The plum color is fab and the fact that it has gold, pink and green flecks inside. You’re right when you say, “I have not seen any other color like it, it’s unusual and that is probably why it’s so expensive to begin with.
Your seductive and beautiful looking nails are always a treat on your website and it makes buying this polish so much easier to obtain. All I can say is “Wow!” You really made my day!

Great swatches, Kelly! This looks great on you, and I am definitely considering picking this up at Nordies this week. I saw another swatch of this polish online last month, and it didn’t look nearly as gorgeous as it does here– it looked pale and muddy. How many coats did you use? Thank you!
