Kleancolor Nail Polish Part Deux
Today I’ve got some of Kleancolor’s more sparkly, glittery polishes for your enjoyment. I actually liked these a lot more than the ones in the previous post because these gave me what I expected judging from the way it looked in the bottle.
No formula issues here whatsoever though the placement of the larger glitter chunks, which you will see, can be tricky sometimes. Check them out!

Pearl Blue
Pearl Blue is pretty ocean blue base with light blue and silver micro glitter. I love this color, love the finish and have just one complaint. It’s a little sheer, this was three coats and you can still see the whites of my nail tips. One more coat could solve this issue though.

Purple Rain
Purple Rain is a clear base with small round purple glitter. This would make a great layering polish.

Starry Blue
Starry Blue is a really cool one. This is also a clear base but it’s packed with different colored and shaped glitter. The small chunks are round, silver and prismatic. Then we have medium blue hexagons and large silver prismatic hexagons. I used three coats here but some of the larger chunks I had to “place” with my fingertip or a toothpick to get them to go where I wanted. They tend to lay on top of each other if you aren’t careful.

Starry Purple
Starry Purple is also a clear base filled with different purple glitter chunks. We have small purple rounds as well as medium and large purple hexagons. They are all the same color purple. This polish was also three coats and I had to place some of the larger chunks. Cool huh?

Overall I liked this brand because of three things:
- Price
- Nice application
- Color variety
There were some things I didn’t like, mainly that the colors I tried were mostly all extremely sheer and I wanted more of a color payout. You can find these on their website here and they retail for $1.49. They only ship to the 48 contiguous states right now (sorry Alaska and Hawaii) just to let you know.
Which ones do you like or not like? Will you try Kleancolor in the future?

Welcome! My name is Kelly and Vampy Varnish is a animal friendly beauty blog.

If you like the multi-sized, multi-shaped glitter thing, you should check out Nabi: their glitter more densely packed for some of the polishes and have a better color payoff. I’ve uploaded one of my swatches to Nailgal.com (it’s the only Nabi one there so searching for it is easy).
I am hooked on these. I just have to have the Starry Purple to layer on top of this lilac polish I love. The only thing discouraging me is the $8 shipping – yikes!
Pretty… but darn. I’m in Hawaii!
purple rain in the bottle is so deceiving- it looks so pretty but it applies so sheer! i much prefer color club’s tru passion.
Pearl Blue looks amazing!
Pearl Blue looks rather like a dupe for Illamasqua Fern…
Hi Helen,
Actually it’s not that close from what I have seen pics of online. Fern is a much more vivid and opaque blue and very different looking from Pearl Blue.
