Illamasqua Nail Polish AND giveaway!!

My love affair with Illamasqua continues…

Illamasqua Wayward Illamasqua Nail Polish AND giveaway!!
Wayward

Isn’t this yellow most decadent? It’s bright, sunny, warm and cheery! This definitely leans towards orange, but not too much. And amazingly it was not that much of a bitch to apply! This was three succulent coats.

Illamasqua Strike Illamasqua Nail Polish AND giveaway!!
Strike

Ok now Strike practically applied itself, I am not kidding. I put this on after a particularly pesky polish from another brand and I couldn’t believe the difference in application. This was so creamy and smooth and it seemed to apply only exactly where I wanted it, no running or dripping into my cuticles. It’s a super shimmery blue and I only needed two coats.

Illamasqua Elope Illamasqua Nail Polish AND giveaway!!
Elope

Elope is green, no? I was thinking this was going to be TOO green for me, but actually it’s at that stage JUST before it’s too much. I love this grass green color and it too had a great application. I only needed two coats for full coverage.

Illamasqua Rampage Illamasqua Nail Polish AND giveaway!!
Rampage

Rampage is unlike any other green I have ever owned and from what I have heard, it’s pretty damn close to the legendary NARS Zulu (which I haven’t seen in person). It’s deep, dark, vampy, which I don’t know that I have ever seen in a green before and fabulous. It isn’t quite as opaque as some of their other polishes, but I only needed three coats to get this color. LOVE!

Illamasqua Baptiste Illamasqua Nail Polish AND giveaway!!
Baptiste

Baptiste is simply fantabulous! It GLOWS Internet, GLOWS! Can you see? It’s lit from within and you don’t see that very often with purples. You think it’s nice when you’re indoors you say “Wow this is a cool vampy purple, I like it.” Then you walk outside in the sun and say “HOLY CRAP, this is frickin amazing!” and you never want to look away. I kid you not. That’s how good this one is. Oh and did I mention the application is great and I only used two coats? OH and did I mention that one lucky person will win this color? Well check it out peeps, I am giving a bottle of this liquid gold purple away, so don’t miss out! Details are all below!

Thank you so much for swatching all the Illamasqua polishes! I wanted to buy them SO much but I wasn’t sure what the polishes looked like on the nails. You’re really helping me narrow down my wish list.

    Thanks again!

This colors are to die for! If only they weren’t so friggin’ expensive (If I have to pay more than $9 for a polish without tax, it’s expensive)!

By the way, Scrangie did a comparison between Illamasqua’s Rampage to the coveted Nars Zulu here-> http://www.scrangie.com/2009/05/reader-requests.html

They’re not even close in color. Rampage is pretty close to RBL’s Recycle though.

  • All of these are lovely, but my favorites are the Rampage and Baptiste!

  • Rampage is hot, but is it the type of dark green that tends to look black most of the time? I like vampy shades, but it annoys me when they look too blackened most of the time and you can only see their true beauty in bright sun.

Baptista is gorgeous! Then again, I’m crazy about purples!

By the way, thanks for opening your contest up to even international entrants. It’s very thoughtful! I’ve suffered much disappointment when I come across a great contest I want to enter, but it’s usually restricted to just U.S. residents.

I was a little skeptical of Illamasqua, but I’m really loving everything that I’ve seen swatched! It would be soo fabulous if they were stateside too though! I know they ship here, so maybe that’ll suffice for now! Love this post and thanks for broadening our NP brand knowledge!

    Hi Atomica,

Rampage is definitely blackened indoors, but it doesn’t look as black as black. In other words, you can tell it’s not black per se, but it’s very dark when not in light.

Hello hello! All you US fans, I just received confirmation via email, from a Joanne B., that Illamasqua will be debuting in a major cosmetic retail store in the very near future- a few weeks, to be more specific!!! She hinted at Sephora. So excited!!!
