Zoya Hot Lips and Qtica Smart Spa

I recently had the pleasure to review some products by Zoya and Qtica. Zoya has some great new lip glosses called “Hot Lips” and they come in a variety of shimmery colors. Qtica has a skin care line called Smart Spa and I reviewed two different scented  products from this them. Check out pics and reviews below!

Zoya Lip Gloss Zoya Hot Lips and Qtica Smart Spa

Clockwise we have: Kiss Kiss, Starlet, Resolution, Blog, Luvie & Meow

Zoya Luvie copy Zoya Hot Lips and Qtica Smart Spa

Luvie is a pale icy colored pink that’s blue based. This would look excellent on fair cool toned skin. The application was very nice, not too sticky and it went on very evenly. No gross scent or taste either, which is a HUGE plus for me!

Zoya Meow copy Zoya Hot Lips and Qtica Smart Spa

Meow is a light peachy/pink color that isn’t as frosted as Luvie. It has very fine peach colored shimmer particles in it. Though this is peach, it still leans towards the cooler side, but I think most skin tones could pull this color off since it’s so lightly pigmented. Great application.

Zoya Blog copy Zoya Hot Lips and Qtica Smart Spa

Blog is more of a warm colored and darker apricot color. It too has very fine peach colored shimmer in it. This one looked great on me even with my fair skin so I think this could be worn by most people. It’s definitely not as pigmented as it looks in the tube and not bright, so no worries for those who are looking for a “tamer” look!

Zoya Resolution copy Zoya Hot Lips and Qtica Smart Spa

Resolution is a dark pink with a lot of warmth to it. You can see it’s like a strawberry color on my lips and not as dark as it appears in the tube. It’s very shimmery and glossy, but didn’t look the greatest on me. The application of this was not as even as I would have liked, it was kinda splotchy (a theme to continue the darker we go…).

Zoya Kiss Kiss copy Zoya Hot Lips and Qtica Smart Spa

Kiss Kiss is a very pretty bright pink with lavender shimmer. This is a really cool color so probably works best on fairer skin. While I love the color, the application wasn’t the best. As you can see, it’s not even and tended to settle into my lip line, which I hate. This one looks extremely bright in the tube, but as you can see it’s fairly mellow on the lip.

Zoya Starlet copy Zoya Hot Lips and Qtica Smart Spa

Starlet is a ruby colored pink with pink shimmer. The color looks more red in the tube but it actually applied pretty pink on me. The application was uneven and blotchy though. I think this could be worn by a variety of skin tones since it’s kind of an “in-between” color.

Qtica Zoya Hot Lips and Qtica Smart Spa

Qtica has a line of bath and body products called Smart Spa and I really liked what I tried out. Above is the Cherry Bing collection, which included the Luxury Lotion, Sugar Scrub and Shower Gel. I also reviewed the same products in the Papaya Star scent, which smells divine!

Let me start with my fav, which is the Sugar Scrub. I am not normally a “scrub” kinda gal, I just don’t have the patience to deal with all that in the shower (plus I get up at 5:00 am for work). Having said that, I LOVE this stuff! The Cherry Bing scent is very mild and pleasant and yes, it does smell lightly of cherries. It was scrubby, without feeling abrasive or painful and it stayed in one nice gel-like clump until I started rubbing it in, rather than being runny like some scrubs are. My skin really was smoother, I could tell the difference especially in my calf area, which tends to be dry and itchy all the time.  It dissolved very easily and claims to not clog drains like some scrubs can.

The Shower Gel is also really fabulous. It lathers up very nicely and I don’t have to use more than a nickel sized dollop for my whole body, when I use it with a loofah. I really like that it doesn’t leave any filmy residue either on my body or in the tub and it’s also very mildly scented.

The Luxury Lotion is basically the icing on the cherry scented cake! I really like this because it’s not thick, it’s not thin, it’s not sticky and it rubs in quickly. I also love the fact that it doesn’t leave my knuckles shiny like a Gorilla, like some lotions do (cough, Jaqua, cough). Another bonus is the pump style bottle. I have mine sitting on the bathroom counter and every time I wash my hands I just squeeze a quick pump and I’m done!

You can find all these products and a lot more (including the fabulous Zoya polish) on the Art of Beauty’s website here.

  • I’m loving Zoya’s lip gloss line. Those are some hot colors. I can see myself wearing a couple of them.

  • Thanks for posting these hot lips pics! I’ve always been curious about Zoya’s hotlips but have been really skeptical about trying them. Not really sure why.

    Hi sryrch,

You are welcome! I was skeptical also, I feel like only “makeup” companies should make lip glosses, but they were rather nice!

Blog looks lovely with your skin! I really like Resolution as well, but I’m very partial to pinks in general.

I’m just getting into polishes, and I’m thinking of making a Zoya order soon, so thanks so much for this review. I’m a new reader, and I love your blog–the colors you like are so much fun!

    Hi swedishfishing,

You should definiely check out Zoya’s polishes, they have a huge color array and some of the best colors! Their color-lock system REALLY works great in keeping polish form chipping also.

Thanks for the info on the gloss – I’ve always wondered if it was worth trying or not.

  • How does the applicator look on the hotlips gloss?

    Hi Lachelle,

It’s a ball applicator which is built into the tube. Not the greatest for application, especially for darker colors because it’s hard to get even sometimes.
