As many of you know, Rescue Beauty Lounge recently had an insane 50% off sale for 1 day only and of COURSE I took advantage of this! I wound up with 8 colors that I have been coveting for some time now and I am showing you half of them now, half later. Enjoy!
Grunge I wanted not only because of the cool name, but also because it looked like one of those weird taupe-y mushroom-y colors I so love. When I first saw it in person though I was disappointed. It looked so pale and sheer. BUT once I got to the third coat and saw it outside it knocked me socks off! It DOES have very subtle shimmer, which I really like. The color reminds me of those no-nonsense nurse type loafers old ladies wear and somehow that does NOT turn me off, which goes to show how great RBL is!
Yep, this is Stormy and it is flat primer grey (yes I spell ‘grey’ the British way because I’m like that) and I love it. I mean really, what’s not to love about this? Creamy, opaque and fabulous at only two coats!
Purple Haze is a wonderful vivid lavender creme. A reader had wondered if this was going to be similar to OPI’s It’s A Grape Fit! and yes, it’s very similar. This one is a wee bit more “grape” colored, but really, they are very close. The formula on this was thicker though, so I only needed two coats whereas I used three for OPI’s.
Chinoise is a word I don’t know how to pronounce. No really, I have no clue but that’s neither here nor there when it comes to how cool it looks. This is what I consider a true red lacquer color. It’s totally glamorous, classy and pretty. It’s got blue undertones and was smooth and jelly like in application. The result is shiny and delicious (and this is no top coat remember)! This was three coats.
You can find Rescue Beauty Lounge polish here, but sorry, they are once again full price at $18.00 each!
