Barielle Shades Nail Polish

I swatched these quite awhile ago and just haven’t had the time to post them. They are just some random Barielle colors that I ordered. They run the gamut of colors and finishes but none really stole my heart unfortunately. Check ‘em out.

Shades Amuse copy Barielle Shades Nail Polish

Amuse is a very pale frosty blue with a strong silver shimmer to it. It was fairly sheer so I used three coats. It didn’t blow my socks off though, I wish it had been more blue.

Shades Expressive copy Barielle Shades Nail Polish

Expressive is a light lavender creme with a lot of pink to it. Most lavenders work pretty well with my skin tone, but this one didn’t. I think it was too pale and made me look sallow. The formula was nice though and I believe I only used two coats here.

Shades Radiant copy Barielle Shades Nail Polish

Radiant was SO cool looking in the bottle. It looked like molted pennies, all coppery and pretty. On me however…not so much. The gold in it completely clashed with my skin, but I could see this looking smokin’ hot on darker skin tones! This was three coats.

Shades Suntini copy Barielle Shades Nail Polish

Surprisingly the one I expected to be the worst on me turned out to be the best. Suntini is a very flattering shade of orange/red creme. It was so creamy, smooth and nice going on, I was really happy with it. This was three coats.

Have you tried any of Barielle’s Shades nail polishes yet? Which ones are you favorites?

  • Suntini is great, kind of reminds me Color Club Sexsea, one of my favorite reds. Expressive looks pretty too, but you’re probably right – a hard shade of lavender to pull off.

Hey, I saw your comment about heels on Karen’s makeup and beauty blog. I have the same issue, and at first I thought I pulled my Achille’s tendon, which might be what happened to you. But my doctor told me that what was actually happening was that since my feet have very low arches, that tendon hurts whenever I wear heels. So now all I do is wear arch supports, and I’m fine. Hope this helps you. And that Suntini shade is GORGEOUS.

Suntini is looking good on you! Just makes your skin glos. All I see is your hand and it looks so nice on you.
I don’t own any of this brand.

  • Hi Vampy Varnish:

First time poster and big fan of Michelle’s All Lacquered Up. Your nails are so beautiful and gorgeous! The swatches you post especially “Expressive,” (BTW-I have to say make me want to order this polish right away, I love it because of how good it looks on your beautiful manicured nails, :) Barielle products have become my new OPI and I have “Berry Blue,” Secret Encounter” and “Grape Escape.” Plus, “Expressive” and how bright “Santini” the orange red cream color combination looks amazing are two more must haves. I think Expressive would look super with it’s awesome lavender shade on my painted toes, lol.

Love your web blog, would love to subscribe and can’t wait for the next one. Kudos!

  • Hi Kelly:

Your very welcome, you do have gorgeous and beautiful nails! I was hooked too! Michelle is so wonderful and supportive especially of “men who love to paint their nails.” She even mentioned me in one of her comments and we even play Mafia Wars on face book together with a number of amazing women. FYI- I loved the piece on “Teal for Toes,” so much (besides ordering the color from Diamond Cosmetics,) I even ordered a polo t-shirt from Cafe Press, lol and looking for the OPI teal colored nail polish mentioned in Casey’s web site in local stores. Barielle polishes are so dazzling too. What would make a good teal color in Barielle? PLus, what a great thing Casey is doing for making women so aware of ovarian cancer. I would have never known of this if not for your awesome web blog. Can I post a link on feminist web blog, “My G Spot” when I write a piece on “Teal Toes, because that’s where I found the info from?” Just a thought.
