Barielle Shades Nail Polish

I swatched these quite awhile ago and just haven’t had the time to post them. They are just some random Barielle colors that I ordered. They run the gamut of colors and finishes but none really stole my heart unfortunately. Check ‘em out.

Amuse is a very pale frosty blue with a strong silver shimmer to it. It was fairly sheer so I used three coats. It didn’t blow my socks off though, I wish it had been more blue.

Three Rare Greens from OPI & China Glaze

I recently acquired three rare green polishes that I have been wanting for quite awhile. These were all found from different sellers on eBay and definitely purchased at a high-ish price, BUT it was worth it to me. I know a lot of people hate eBay or feel as though they are getting ripped off from sellers on there. For me personally, I don’t see it. People pay for what they feel things are worth. If they didn’t pay it, then the sellers wouldn’t be charging it. Just my opinion though and I am not trying to instigate a comment war! If you Google these, you will be able to find them on eBay as well. Check around though because some sellers have them for $10.00 cheaper than others. Enjoy!

At Your Quebec & Call came from OPI’s Canada collection many years ago, before I was as into polish as I am now, so of course I missed it. Now it’s been discontinued so it’s harder to find. I really wanted this one because olive green is my favorite nail polish color. I don’t know WHAT it is about olive green that I love so much! I have yet to find one that doesn’t look good on me, so maybe that’s part of it. The color is an olive green with a lot of gold in it. It’s got nice light green and pink shimmer as well. The application was fabulous and creamy and this was three coats. This one is still available for a fairly decent price anywhere from $7.50 and on up, depending on who you go through, so get it while it’s still available!

Rescue Beauty Lounge – Part II

As previously mentioned in Part I of this series, I got some rad-ass Rescue Beauty Lounge polishes for 50% off recently during their 1 day sale. I sure hope some of you were able to take advantage of that! Here are the other four that I purchased.

Rescue Beauty Lounge Dead Calm Rescue Beauty Lounge Part II
Dead Calm

Dead Calm (I always spell this “Clam” for some reason) actually does make me clam calm when I look at it. It’s a deep mesmerizing navy blue creme. I wouldn’t say it’s totally original, there are a number of colors very similar (Misa On The Edge for instance) but it’s still pretty. It’s nice and opaque too at just two coats.

Rescue Beauty Lounge – Part I

As many of you know, Rescue Beauty Lounge recently had an insane 50% off sale for 1 day only and of COURSE I took advantage of this! I wound up with 8 colors that I have been coveting for some time now and I am showing you half of them now, half later. Enjoy!

Rescue Beauty Lounge Grunge Rescue Beauty Lounge Part I
Grunge

Grunge I wanted not only because of the cool name, but also because it looked like one of those weird taupe-y mushroom-y colors I so love. When I first saw it in person though I was disappointed. It looked so pale and sheer. BUT once I got to the third coat and saw it outside it knocked me socks off! It DOES have very subtle shimmer, which I really like. The color reminds me of those no-nonsense nurse type loafers old ladies wear and somehow that does NOT turn me off, which goes to show how great RBL is!

Cheerio!

Later this afternoon I shall be flying away on my trip “across the pond”. I have posts already automatically set to go, but I wanted to forewarn you that I won’t be able to post your comments and respond to your comments in a quick fashion. I plan to try and NOT blog when I am there. But don’t you worry, I WILL be nail polish shopping and plan on bringing back some really cool goodies (maybe even some for a giveaway)! I’m back on June 2nd, see you then!
