Sephora Glitter Nail Polish
So remember last week I showed you some metallic nail polish from Sephora? Well today I am showing you the three glitter polishes I got. Overall I was not at all impressed with these. The polish was thick and stringy and it’s so hard to work with mini brushes, especially when the polish is gloopy. A couple of the colors were ok, but nothing to write home about for me. Pics taken in sun with no top coat.

Black Strass is a black based polish with gigantic chunks of different sized silver glitter pieces. I liked the color and glitter effect on this, but the polish itself felt cheap and stringy. This was three coats.

Blue Sapphire was interesting. I expected the blue to be much darker and deeper than it turned out to be. It was actually like a bright dark blue, if that makes sense. This one too has the different sized chunks of silver glitter. I wasn’t thrilled with the blue base on this one and the formula was crappy. This was three coats.

Violet Amethyst was definitely my favorite of the three. The base is a burgundy/red and the glitter is much smaller than the previous two and it’s red. It actually doesn’t really look like a “glitter” polish to me. The formula on this was much better than the others, but still a but thick. This was three coats. If you like these (and want to pay $5.00 for a mini bottle) check out more Sephora colors, on their site here.

Yeah the application really is crappy
I am surprised that it is since sephora is such a great brand…very disappointing.
Are you doing something new to the layout? It says ‘your photo here’ at the top when I get to your page.
Hi Nessa,
I know really disappointing!
I was having template issues but it’s mostly fixed now.
I REALLY LOVE THE gigantic chunks of different sized silver glitter pieces
AND THE ZOOM OFF you made of them
i am going to buy them in Paris
I think I will stick with the sephora by OPI’s then. Have you seen the new mermaid collection for summer? All blues! They look so pretty, but I’ve only seen them online. I hope you get to test/swatch them for us.
Hi Frederic,
I agree, the silver chunks are pretty cool!
Hi AManda,
Yes I have them waiting to be swatched at home, they look really cool!
Hi Sleepy,
The RBL glitter’s are definitely cool, but expensive. They blow these out of the water, but they are different because they are set in clear polish so the color impact isn’t as great.
I dunno. I think it looks thick and seems kind of disspointing. I love glitter, but I think of CG Ruby Pumps. That’s the kind of glitter I like. And, for $5, I want more than a mini-bottle.
I JUST FOUND YOUR SITE AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. GREAT PHOTOS. I LOVE MISA AND ZOYA BUT IT’S FANTASTIC TO SEE SOME OF THE OTHER LINES. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
Hi Lisa,
Thanks so much, glad you like it!
beautiful I love the colors and I am 50!
I just found this sight…looks like fun. So I’ve been looking everywhere for a polish that I had years ago (don’t remember the brand). It was small blue glitter suspended in a clear base. I want to use it layering over a fun metallic blue I have. Can you help me out? I can’t seem to find this anywhere.
Hi Bri,
Glad you found me!
You know I have to say practically every brand on earth has made a blue glitter at one point so I would have no idea where to begin with tha question LOL!
