OPI Breathe Life

Morning! As you may have heard, OPI came out with a special limited edition polish called Breathe Life to promote awareness of lung cancer in women and to help the Lung Cancer Foundation of America. Here is some information:

The facts
can leave you breathless: Lung cancer is the #1 killer of women, making
it more deadly than the six next largest cancer killers combined. And
60% of new lung cancer victims will be non-smokers.

For these reasons, OPI is proud to join with the Lung Cancer Foundation of America (LCFA). LCFA’s primary goal is not just to prevent lung cancer, but to cure it. To help “breathe life” into raising funds for early detection, diagnosis, and a cure, OPI has created an exclusive new Nail Lacquer called Breathe Life – a fresh-air, silvery-blue.

“The statistics are shocking. Lung cancer has stopped our breathing long enough, and we need to stop it now,” says Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director.

In addition to this new Nail Lacquer, OPI has also made a donation to LCFA. “Because LCFA
is a new organization, working on the frontlines at the grassroots
level, every dollar contributed makes a tremendous impact,” Weiss-Fischmann says.

This is a cause I strongly believe in since my day to day job is at a Biotechnology company that makes drugs for cancer patients. Check out the pics taken in sun with no top coat.

The color is one of my favorite for light polishes. It’s an opalescent shimmery silver that flashes blue or purple depending on the lighting. I used to wear a color similar to this years ago constantly, I love it. It goes in a bit sheer so this is three coats.

You can find this polish and help support the LCFA by buying the polish here and it retails for $8.50. I don’t see it on the discount e-tailers yet and not sure if it will be. It’s LE so get it soon!

I’m loving this colour. It looks like it will layer well too. And I’m all about anything that could help wipe out cancer! I wonder if your biotech company made any of my drugs! I was treated for Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

This color is just gorgeous, and fighting lung cancer is such a good cause. Thank you for the link to order-I have no local Ulta, and I really wanted this polish. Your swatch is fab (as always)!

Yeah, you have to have a U.S. resident credit card to place an order. We have a Canadian Amazon, but it’s limited to books, music, movies, and I think some computer/video game stuff. No nail polish…sigh…
