Deborah Lippmann Summer 2009
Here we have Deborah Lippmann’s two new colors for summer 2009. For me, neither one of these was a huge hit. They were both nice, but I don’t feel like they were anything totally original or amazing. Not to mention I am a little miffed at them because they have horrible customer service! Been trying to get ahold of them for 5-6 months many times and they never, ever email me back. Oh well, THEIR loss! Pics taken in sun with no top coat.

Call Me Irresponsible is a bright grape purple creme. I loved this one in the bottle, but it was pretty sheer going on and even after three coats (which is what I have on here) you can still see the nail through it in certain areas. I really wish it came out like it looks in the bottle!

Surprisingly I liked It’s Raining Men better than Call Me Irresponsible. I’m not a huge red fan normally because they all pretty much seem the same, but this one was different. The color is a bright cherry red and the consistency was jelly like. It was really opaque and I only needed two coats. This red reminds me a lot of the red you see 1950′s pin up girls wearing (or Rock-a-Billy chicks wearing) and I like it for that reason. I think this is a really great color for a summer pedicure.
If you want to check these out visit their website here. These retail for $15.00 each.

Hmmm… Call Me Irresponsible really reminds me of Sinful Colors Dream On. But I bet a WAY better application.
Hi Nessa,
The formula was fantastic on this, for sure!
Both the two color is nice. Every lady will like it. Advertising is also perfect. Thanks to all creatives.
Oooohhh…I love the jelly-like finish of Call Me Irresponsible!
Hi
Call Me Irresponsible looks like the Nubar one from the Pyramid collection. The one that also wasnt that opaque but has a very nice colour. I wonder if theres a problem with doing that exact colour when it comes to nailpolishes.
Hi Veronica,
It is kind of like that one, you’re right! The Lippmann was a MUCH better application and more opaque than Nubar’s, but it’s still watery and thin.
Love the red. Looks beautiful on you Kelly! I’m sure there must be a dupe for them. How rude their customer service is. Don’t think I will be ordering from them.
Why do all of her polishes look watery? I hate that…. pretty in bottle, bad on tootsies.
