BB Couture New Colors!
BB Couture has some really great new colors out and I think everyone can find at least one or two that they will like! I’m still DYING to see the new greens which should be coming out soon also and will keep you posted on those. For these pics I went in order of my least favorite to most favorite. Pics taken in sun with no top coat.

Catalina Cutie was my least favorite of the bunch because coral just doesn’t look good on me (clothing, lipstick, nails, etc.). However the color itself is really pretty in general. Like I said the base is coral and the jelly finish is infused with tiny green and gold glitter particles. It’s a wee bit sheer, this is three coats and you can still see my nails underneath.

I liked Butt-Naked Bronze, just not that much on my skin. This is definitely a warm color. The base is like a toffee color with green and gold glitter. It’s got the jelly texture as well. This one was a little more pigmented than Catalina Cutie and this is three coats.

Now we’re getting places! Zuma Wave Rider is a really pretty light sky blue creme with a very slight opalescent shimmer to it, which you can’t really see in the pics, but it’s there. This was three coats.

Balboa Beach Bunny is a great grape purple jelly loaded with tons of different colored and shaped glitter pieces. You’ve got pink green and gold and some larger chunks of rectangle glitter mixed in with tiny round glitter. Very interesting! This is three coats.

I love Venice Party because it’s a “blurple” which is a combo blue/purple. It’s also a jelly like texture and is filled with green and pink small glitter. Fabulous! This is three coats.

And finally the fav of the bunch for me, Laguna Lagoon. What can I say, this is everything MAC’s Peppermint Patti wishes it could be! I liked this SO MUCH MORE than Peppermint Patti though it’s not a dupe. This is lighter and not as “spearmint green”. This leans more towards pastel but not a chalky color. The application was a little streaky on the first coat but after three coats it evens out perfectly. I don’t know, I just find this so much more flattering and wearable than Peppermint Patti, so yahoo for that!
You can find these and other fabulous BB Couture polishes here and they retail for $8.00 each.
Which ones do you think you might want to pick up? Have you tried any of their polishes yet and if so which are your favs?

Welcome! My name is Kelly and Vampy Varnish is a animal friendly beauty blog.

Ooh, some of these are really pretty. I love, love, looooooooooove Catalina Cutie (what? I look good in coral!), Zuma Wave Rider and Laguna Lagoon.
I have mixed feelings about Balboa Beach Bunny and Venice Party. I’d have to see them up close and personal before I could make any decisions.
I didn’t like Butt-naked Bronze at all. You don’t look good with coral and I don’t look good in bronze. All I could think of while looking at was, “Ich.” I just hate it!
Catalina Cutie may not look very good on you because it’s probably bringing out the yellow undertone. Coral, I think, is one of those colors that look good on those with predominantly blue or pink undertones (aka cool skintones). I should have a coral nail lacquer around here somewhere. It’s called “Express-ion of Love,” I think. It’s a Nic Sticks. The question is, where did I put it?
the iced olive color is available now, i just picked it up!!!
The iced olive color is available now, I just picked one up. I can’t wait to see the other one!
omg, Laguna Lagoon is gorgeous *dies*
Hi Kate,
Yeah these are all really great colors, I am so happy to have BB Couture as a new brand to play with!
Hi Jinnzor,
I KNOW I absolutely love it!
I think they were all pretty. But I liked Catalina cutie and Laguna Lagoon the most.
And talking about Laguna Lagoon – how similiar is it to Gargantuan green grape?
Hi Emelie,
Glad you like them! I don’t have Gargantuan Green Grape so I can’t compare, sorry!
You have been nominated by Kitty’s Closet that YOUR BLOG IS FABULOUS!! To accept the nomination, follow the rules in the linked post, and have fun!

MMmmm… did someone say green polish??? Yippee! Can’t wait. In the meantime, I love that Venice Party one. The light hitting it looks magnificent!
I’d have to pick Venice Party as my fav of the bunch. Love the name the most and just love the color!
Hi Nessa,
Yeah it’s a really great color. I like all the names of these ones!
I have yet to own a BB Couture polish, and I become more tempted every time I see your swatches! I love Laguna Lagoon, such a beautiful fresh minty color.
How does the base color of Venice Party compare to ChG-Tempest? The glitter alone in Venice Party might make me need both!
And how does Butt-Naked Bronze relate at all to ChG-Golden Spurs? Is it more orangie?
Thanks for sharing with us I love your blog!
Balboa Beach Bunny will be mine! I can’t resist anything named Bunny. It also helps that I love their glitter- packed polishes (like Dragon’s Breath and Fairy Blood).
Hi Emily,
I don’t own either Tempest or Golden Spurs, sorry! Venice Party really is gorgeous though and Laguna Lagoon is beyond fabulous if you like light minty green’s!
Hi Missy,
Yep they are really spectacular, especially in the sun!
Damn! I’m so sad that Laguna Lagoon isn’t a dupe for Peppermint Patty. I missed getting that polish since I have up buying polish for Lent. When Lent is over I will be ordering some of this collection.
I just got my Laguna Lagoon in the mail and am wearing it and absolutely LOVING IT!!!
Tons of compliments on it too!
I just ordered laguna lagoon! and now I want zuma wave rider too.. love the colors
