Essie Naturally Clean

I have had this post ready to go for WEEKS but accidentally never published it, oops!  I am very happy to have had the pleasure to review some of the items from Essie’s new collection called Naturally Clean. I tried the hand wash, hand purifier and nail polish remover, but they also have a nail cleanser as well as manicure revitalizer. I really like this line though it IS expensive and not easy to get (like most soap or hand purifier at Target for instance). Reviews are below pics, enjoy!

This is the purifying hand treatment, which is basically like anti-bacterial sanitizer. I love this stuff! This is way more gentle on my hands than any other sanitizer I have used and doesn’t have that alcohol smell or stickiness afterwords. The scent is very mild and natural. I also love that it’s in an 8oz bottle and has a pump. Because the bottle design is pretty, I have it sitting on my bathroom counter and it looks great there! This stuff doesn’t come cheap though, it’s $25.00 on their website, ouch!

OPI South Beach for Spring 2009 – Part II

Happy hump day! So here we are with the second part of the OPI South Beach collection for spring 2009. These are the ones that worked better on me and I found to be a bit more interesting. Still though, with the exception of Done Out In Deco, they are all very safe and rather hum drum. Pics taken in sun with no top coat.

Yep it’s red. That’s about all I can really say, another middle of the road poppy-ish red creme. Nice, but nothing new or particularly interesting about it. It leans towards the blue so might work better on fair skin. This was three coats.

BB Couture New Colors!

BB Couture has a few new colors out (some new green ones which haven’t been announced yet!!) and I got the chance to sample two of them. Gotta say I love them both A LOT! I didn’t have any issues with the application, both were smooth and opaque after only two coats. Considering they are glitters the removal was a cinch as well. Pics taken in sun with top coat on one (details below).

Essie North Fork for Summer 2009

Here we are folks, a rockin’ new collection from Essie that’s quite unexpected! Three awesome blue’s called the North Fork collection for summer 2009. I for one am super duper happy about seeing Essie break away from the traditional pinks, reds and neutrals that they normally do. I think A LOT of women don’t particularly want to wear those types of colors and are venturing into the land of blue, green, purple and vampies now. My best friend can’t wear nail polish at work because of the line of work she’s in, however she does wear vampies on her toes and I think that’s the case with a lot of women. Maybe they are more conservative on their fingernails, but they are more “risky” with their pedis, going for crazier colors. Anyway, I didn’t have any application problems with these, they were all fabulous! Pics taken in sun with no top coat.

Essie Sag Harbor copy Essie North Fork for Summer 2009
Sag Harbor is a beautiful light silvery/grey pale blue shimmer. This is only two coats in the pic, but I did try it with three and the color looked more opaque (but my pics sucked so I didn’t use them). I don’t have anything quite like this one and I love it.
