Orly Prepster for Spring 2009
Sometimes I feel like I have split personalities! Mainly I am a rocker chick; I love lots of eyeliner, dark nails, heavy metal, etc. However I have this crazy other side that’s totally preppy! I LOVE argyle and the color combo of pink/green. Give me an alligator polo and some plaid Chuck Taylors and I will wear them with glee. 
Anyway that brings me to my point which is that Orly has a new collection for spring called Prepster. A couple of these I loved, a couple weren’t my favs for me, but overall the collection is really great. Pics taken in sun with no top coat.
As you can see Tennis Anyone? is a very sheer milky beige color that wasn’t really my favorite. I prefer my polishes with more pigment and coverage, but for a nude professional look, this fits the bill. This is three coats.
I really like Polo Princess though it is streaky as all get out. It’s a bit of a chalky pink, which I think is why it was so streaky. I feel as though I have a lot of colors like this one already so it didn’t stand out for me. This was three coats.
Of course you KNOW I love Country Club Khaki! It’s a totally fab taupe creme with that “mushroom” effect that I adore. This was three coats.
Prim & Proper is very pretty but the finish isn’t my fav. It’s a metallic silvery lavender that actually wasn’t TOO streaky considering the formula. This was three coats.
So my fav of the bunch is Cashmere Cardigan. Let me say that the REAL color of this polish is a little lighter than it appears here. I couldn’t capture it on camera. It’s a great periwinkle blue creme and I adore it, especially for fair skinned ladies. This was three coats.
OMG is a great coral/red creme that’s pretty but again not really original. Would work very nicely as a pedi I think and would work for both fair and darker skin tones. This too was three coats.

My favorites are DEFINITELY Country Club Khaki (reminds me of modeling clay)and Cashmere Cardigan (how does it compare to Agent Periwinkle by China Glaze?).

Agent Periwinkle seems more on the lavender side rather than blue side of periwinkle.
I ordered this collection the day it was released. I just happened to be ordering polish that day and saw these. I bought them swatches unseen! I love Cashmere Cardigan, Country Club Khaki and Polo Princess. The others are okay. Glad to see them swatched. I haven’t worn them yet.
I love the Polo Princess and Cashmere Cardigan. I’d get both of those. I wouldn’t look @ the taupe twice. That has never been a favorite color of mine. Overall, nice collection.

I actually bought Cashmere Cardigan and Polo Princess today without seeing your posting – just as Easter colors. Bummer to read the pink is streaky… that pale pink seems to be an issue sometimes. Thanks for the swatches.

I like country club khaki too. I havne’t tried any of the “mushrooms”.
OMG does look like a good pedi color. Can’t wait to try.

Country Club Khaki is so pretty! I got my polishes from Head2Toe Beauty, and the shipping is AMAZING. I placed the order yesterday morning, and I just got my package (Regular good o’ USPS shipping!) I wish I had extra fingers because I want to try out Orly’s Country Club Khaki, Essie’s Sag Harbor, Greenport, and Shelter Island! I’m a new reader. Do you have a cuticle treatment that you recommend?
