TGIF! I have to admit, I tend to think of drug store nail polish as being “less than” other polishes. I do not know why, it’s just ingrained in my head for some reason. I think part of the blame can be placed on the bottle shape. Generally I don’t think the bottle shapes  look “sophisticated”  and they mostly lean towards looking like the 80′s to me, but I AM starting to open my eyes, look past the bottles and am finding some awesome polishes. In this case Rimmel’s new 60 Seconds colors for spring. Pics taken in sun and shade with no top coat. FYI the top pics are my old watermarked format and the other two are the newer one.

Color Club has brought us two really cool collections for spring and one of them is called Femme Fatale, which is what I am showing you today. The other one called Catwalk Queen will be posted in a couple days. This one was kind of hit and miss for me. Some of them were very sheer and some weren’t, but what I did like is the sheer ones can easily be paired with the black (which I didn’t post because it’s just black) to spice things up. Morning folks. Just a quick post to say I have been in a Photoshop class yesterday and today so that’s why you haven’t seen anything new from me posted. Tomorrow I shall post some more Spring polishes, don’t you worry!

Happy Hump Day!

Afternoon folks! Once a long, long time ago, the sun was out in the Bay Area and I was able to do some swatching. The rain is supposed to be here for the next 9 days or so except maybe tomorrow, sigh. I am glad I got this new Misa Spring 2009 collection done to show you because IT. IS. AWESOME. Seriously I think it might, just might be my fav entire collection of Spring so far, or at least tied with Zoya’s. Pics taken in sun & shade with no top coat.

Evening folks! So my friend from Singapore who sent me the Stage and Make Up Store polishes also sent me one from a company in China called Majolica Majorca and one from Japan called Canmake. My reviews are under the pics, which are taken in the sun with no top coat.

VelvetVelvet comes from Majolica Majorca and isn’t it a pretty bottle (and yes it is mini)? I love the insignia. This color is fabulous, unlike anything I own. It totally reminds me of mermaids for some reason. It’s a teal/sea green with tons of light blue shimmer. The consistency was smooth but a little sheer so I needed three coats. I love, what do you think?
