OPI France Fall/Winter 2008 – The Cremes

Morning! I know it’s been awhile since the OPI France collection came out, but I never got around to swatching them until now. They have been sitting in my “to do” container for months now! Anyhoo, I totally apologize for the horrendous pics here, they were taken with my older camera and are not as crisp as I would have liked. I think that Santa Claus will be bringing me a FAT camera for Christmas this year though (I hope, I hope, I hope) so the pics should drastically improve come January! smile OPI France Fall/Winter 2008 The Cremes Today I’ll bring you the cremes, tomorrow the shimmers. Oh and I didn’t buy the entire collection, only the ones that *spoke* to me. All pics taken in sun with no top coat.

OPI Tickle My France Y OPI France Fall/Winter 2008 The Cremes
Tickle My France-Y
This was one that turned out not so hot on me for some reason. It looks really great on other people (like Katee at e-polishblog for instance) but not me. It is a really nice *professional” nude creme, if you’re into that sort of thing. Goes on sheer so this is three coats here. For some reason this color reminds me of a really boring pair of pumps worn by a woman who works in a law firm as a Legal Secretary in 1984. Don’t ask me why…

OPI You Dont Know Jacques OPI France Fall/Winter 2008 The Cremes
You Don’t Know Jacques
NOW we’re getting to the good stuff! You Don’t Know Jacques is one of my favorite colors this Fall/Winter season. Anyone who knows me knows I love a good mushroom, whether it’s an edible one OR a wearable one. This is a dark taupe/mushroom creme that screams “unusual” and I love it for that. It’s a tad sheer at first so this is three coats.

OPI Parlez Vous OPI OPI France Fall/Winter 2008 The Cremes
Parlez-Vous OPI?

Mmmmmmmm, yummy. Another one of my favs for this season. I cannot decide if I like this, You Don’t Know Jacques or Sephora by OPI’s Metro Chic better. I love them all SO much! I would call this a smoked out violet color, if I were forced to categorize it. It’s super creamy and wonderful and this is three coats.

It seems like this collection didn’t get all that much hype and I can kind of understand why. The colors look a bit bland and boring in the bottles, but I am telling you, try them out, they look so good on!

Vamp it up!

  • I love Parlez-Vous OPI!

And…what do you think about the OPI South Beach collection? I *LOVE* it, but I think I may be in the minority.

    Have a great weekend!

  • I loooove Parlez-Vous OPI?
Tickle My France-Y looks very different on you than what I’m use to see on other pics. You Don’t Know Jacques is very hot too

  • I love “You Don’t Know Jaques” too. It’s such a unique color.

From this collection, I only bought Louvre Me Louvre Me Not (it matched one of my purses EXACTLY! How cool is that?), Parlez-Vous OPI (even my boyfriend said he liked the colour, and he usually never comments on a colour unless I ask, so that’s saying something!), and You Don’t Know Jacques (which I still have worn yet…but it looks lovely on you).

Hi Sanna – I know I don’t know why Tickle My France-Y looks like that on me! It looked so good on Katee at e-polishblog!

Hi Atomica – That’s great it matched your purse exactly! At work we use Google calendar and you can pick from about 25 different colors for your calendar. There is one that is the exact color of Metro Chic, so of course I chose that one!

  • Wow Tickle My Francy is really cute…I have issues with nailpolish lasting on my hands…but with a color like this I can pull off *gasp* a chip or two.
