TGIF Vampies! It’s a beautiful day here in Cali (supposed to hit 77, yahoo!) so I am planning on doing a lot of sun swatching over the next couple days. In order to whet your palette’s, I thought I would show you what I am planning on bringing you this weekend. Hope you are as excited as I am!
The election is officially over, and no matter which side you voted for, we are all supportive of this great country of ours and the colors Red, White and Blue. So even though we must all wait in anticipation of President Elect Obama to take office in January, we can have some fun in the meanwhile with, you guessed it, nail polish! There is a great blog writer for the Boston Herald named Darren Garnick that actually did a post on his site all about pro-Obama manicures. He specifically writes about The Polish Addict’s blog. As you may already know she is very pro-Obama and did a few posts on cool political manicures right before the election.
Happy Thursday! As promised, today I am bringing you part 2 of my drugstore nail polish swatches. I found a new (and very cheap) brand that I had never seen before which is called CQ. It’s in these really cute bottles and seemed pretty decent. I also saw some nice Borghese ones that I wanted to try which are more expensive at around $8.00 each. And finally a cool looking metallic from NYC. All of these were found at my local Rite Aid. All pictures taken in sunlight with no top coat.
Happy Hump Day Vampies! So today I decided to post a bunch of drugstore polishes I recently came across that looked decent. Normally I am not a huge fan of “cheaper” polishes (I am such a makeup snob) but the colors on these were too good to pass up! This will be part 1 of 2 posts since I got so many this time around! Thanks to Katee over at e-polishblog, I discovered a new brand of nail polish that looked pretty intriguing from her swatches here. I definitely needed the green she had which is called Poison Ivy but decided to also get a couple others she didn’t swatch so you can see a variety of their polishes.
