Color Club Swatches – The Cremes

Happy Saturday! We finally got some sun here in Nor/Cal so I was able to swatch that pesky last Color Club creme polish. These all went on really nicely, but because they were so pigmented and dark, they tended to be a bit messy to get off and did slightly stain the nail. Definitely use a good base coat when wearing these! All pics taken in sun with no top coat.

Haute Couture
Haute Couture is a really nice dark reddish brown creme, I guess I would call it brick red. It was pretty pigmented so I only needed two coats. Very nice consistency and flow to the polish.

Carolyn New York Swatches (More!)

Morning Vampies! Today I am going
to show you the other three Carolyn New York swatches I took. It is a
cold rainy grey day here and supposed to be the next couple days, so I thought these colors were fitting! I am
hoping to somehow take new pics of the Color Club cremes so I can show
you in decent lighting, but without my friend the sun around, it might
be difficult! The Carolyn New York polishes all had fabulous
consistency and application. All pics taken in sun
with no top coat.

Handball Courts
This is a really nice silvery dove grey shimmery polish. It went on pretty sheer so it needed three coats. I love, love, love grey polish and was really pleased with this. For a second I thought it might be close to OPI’s Sheer Your Toys, but no. This is more grey and doesn’t have the red flecks that OPI’s does. It is very close to RBL’s Concrete Jungle, but this has shimmer whereas that is a creme.

Carolyn New York Swatches

Morning! Yesterday I told you I would be bringing you my Color Club creme swatches. I had planned on it until I realized something. I either forgot to swatch one of them or accidentally deleted all pics of it because I only have 3 pics and I swatched 4 polishes! So instead I am bringing you a few Carolyn New York swatches. I had never tried this brand and had wanted to ever since I saw one of them posted on the MUA board and died, it was so pretty. I ordered 5 of them and am bringing you two today. Pics taken in sun with no top coat.

Mugged On The Six Train

This is the one I saw on MUA and knew I must own. Isn’t it great? It’s just amazingly sparkly in the sun, my pics do not do it justice. I would say this is a slightly purpled out cranberry with lots of red/pink shimmer. A fabulous holiday color! This only needed two coats, it’s pretty pigmented.

Color Club Swatches – The Shimmers

Good morning! Today I am bringing you some shimmers from Color Club. When I had commented on one of The Polish Addicts’ Color Club swatches and told her I didn’t have any of these, she was shocked and said I HAD to try them. So here I am trying them! I must say I am super impressed. The formula was really nice, very pigmented and fully opaque in only 2 coats. Tomorrow I will show you the Color Club cremes. all pictures taken in sunlight with no top coat.

Emerald Depths

Strange name because last time I checked, emerald was green not blue, but it’s still great! This was the first Color Club I tried and was in love within 1 coat. This stuff practically melted onto my nails it was SO smooth and fabulous. I could have probably done one coat, but for some reason I just have to put at least two on. The color in the photo is exactly the color of the polish. It’s a super bright blue with lots and lots of fine shimmer.
