SuperStar Nail Polish Swatches
 
SuperStar Nail Lacquer is a new brand of nail polish that I discovered when I saw really nice swatches on Scrangie’s website. I decided to try them out and get 3 colors that she didn’t post, to give readers a variety of ideas. Overall I thought they were just ok. The formula was pretty nice and the price was ok ($8.50), but the colors just didn’t *wow* me as much as I had hoped. Below are my pics and reviews. All pics taken in the sun with no top coat.
Park Avenue Purple
This is 3 coats of polish here. Very nice color, it’s a purplish pink with a nice opalescent blue overlay. Very shimmery in the sun. I don’t know why this color doesn’t grab me, but it just doesn’t.Â
Gucci Green
Backstage Brown
This was my least favorite of the bunch. First of all it’s called Backstage Brown, but really it’s more red than brown. Secondly, it was very uneven. This is 3 coats here and as you can see it didn’t go on very evenly. To me it was just a basic deep red/brown creme with nothing that I haven’t seen before. Oh and I was also annoyed because they stuck the price sticker on the front of the bottle and it won’t come off, so I am showing the back. Oh well, you can’t win ‘em all!

Jellies are really tricky to work with, you have to take your time or they will be a streaky mess. A good base coat will help that as well.
I have a few of these to review as well and i was thinking that there are dupes for pretty much all the colors. I wonder how well they wear.
