MAC polishes LAST, let me tell you (at least the old formulas)! I have had these 3 polishes for between 8-12 years and they are as good as new. No seriously, I am not kidding. They are smooth, even and no polish separation to this day. I would wager that not a lot of people have these colors in their collection still (and they don’t make them anymore to my knowledge) so I wanted to show them (especially Sinful Serpent). I got my butter LONDON fall polishes a day early today, it was like Christmas in September! As promised earlier, I have now swatched them all. Showers have not been taken, floors have not been vacuumed and dishes have not been done all in order to bring these to you gentle reader, as fast as possible. My reviews are beneath each picture. Enjoy!

Cream Tea – Natural lighting

My first impression was…hot streaky mess! It’s a very light “marshmallowy” white/cream color and applies a bit thick (this is 3 coats pictured). I actually thought the color itself was very flattering on my skin and pretty, but the streaks made it unwearable for me. Having said that, I didn’t have any type of base coat on, so maybe if I try again that would help.

Much to my excitement, my butter LONDON fall collection arrived a day earlier than I expected! I will be swatching these very soon my pretty’s, but until then you will have to make do with my special preview!

Vamp it up!

Do you remember WAY back in 1990 when my Governator, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sharon Stone were in the movie Total Recall? Well I do and there is one scene in particular that I vividly remember and love! Life would be so much easier if someone would just invent this contraption. Basically, it’s a stylus pen much like you would use on your Palm Pilot, but you touch it to this pad with different colored swatches on it then touch the tip of your nails and presto, the color magically appears! I would pay GOOD money for this, are you listening inventors???

Halloween is about 6 weeks away still, but since it’s my favorite holiday, I am already thinking about costumes, decorations, candy, oh and of course, Halloween makeup! I was at my neighborhood Walgreen’s last night and came across these little cuties in the Halloween aisle. They are by Wet n Wild and are called “Fantasy Makers”. There were 3 colors in my store which were Black Pearl, Black Magic and a glow in the dark polish. I didn’t get the glow in the dark one because I didn’t think I could photograph it and have it come out showing it actually glowing in the dark! The main reason I bought these is because the bottles are so cute, but I was also curious about what the colors actually look like on. I will be swatching these soon but am trying to hold off until at least Oct 1st since technically, it’s still summer!
